In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

ED Clark (BAD GUY!!)

Griz said:
You're right Dan however any speculation on our parts is due solely to Ed's inability to answer straight forward questions. He is dancing around the issue, refuses to state what actually took place, puts all of the blame on the buyer so some reasonable common sense speculation is probably in order.

We are in agreement, and it's a big problem that he is failing to recognize. You can't undoe the misdeed by sending an extra gecko. The second gecko is meant to sweeten the deal and making it look like a fair transaction. Is there an elegant way out of this one? I don't think so, not at this point. Had he immediately acknowledged the mistake (anyone can make one) and sent the right female everyone would have been left with the question if it was an "accident" or intentional. But when you insist it's is the right animal when it clearly is not...well, you get the picture. Did he sell the female, did it die or is he planning to keeping for himself? I don't know and I don't care. The fact is that the customer did not receive what she paid for.

I agree with Sammy. I don't believe Ed has her anymore otherwise the solution here would have been simple. Instead, since Ed knows he cannot produce what he promised, since it's left his premises, he is casting blame elsewhere. It's his M.O. It's his character and he's obviously lacking. A true scumbag in the industry.

Maybe so, but unless someone comes forward with a picture of the gecko in his/her posession we won't know the truth. As far as I'm concerned the gecko never reached it's intended destination. Does it cast a doubt on Ed's reputation, of course.

I say give her the money back for the female, or work something out between yourselves until the customer is happy (since it was your mistake, not hers). It's not fair to put the gecko through the stress of shipping it again just because you made a mistake (or were caught if it wasn't). Any knowledgeable crested enthusiast would know that the females were completely different. Ed is either guilty of being extremely unobservant, or being completely untrustworthy. Neither one is desirable, but he can improve his circumstances by doing the honorable thing and doing his best to remedy the situation.

Above is part of crested lady's post. She summarizes the current situation objectively without getting hung-up in the seller's past history. Excellent, detached and unbiased. She even has time to propose a solution that can work for both parties involved should Ed realize he made a BIG mistake.

Best!

In my post I never brought up his past history. I asked the man a question. Simple, direct and to the point. So where you come up with all this crap is beyond me, Dan. You invent a reality that didnt happen and argue your point based on that instead of what really happened. You eerily remind me of a woman I dated once.

But on a side note, if you dont think past history plays into things Dan, then I will be sure to set you up with Ray, Sal or Bruce for your next major purchase.

Sometimes Dan, your ignorance and arrogance really make you look like an ass.

You seem to think I was talking about you Sammy. Not at all, in fact I enjoy most of your posts. What I pointed out was that crested lady's post was excellent, unbiased and well balanced, nothing more, nothing less. Does that mean yours wasn't? Not at all.

Best :)

I didnt think you were talking about me specifically Dan, just your outlook on this thread as a whole. Which I feel is flawed at best.

Maybe I am wrong, but you came across as someone saying that many people on this thread are blinded with bias and should not take into account past misdeeds. That we should not ask questions based on speculations. I would agree with you if we were talking about blind speculation, but we aint. We are talking about speculation based on the current facts. Basic investigative tactics.

Dan,

Like many of your posts and your logic, but not so much that we are not "twin brothers from different Mothers" though :).

Dan writes (entire post) :
The only facts we are aware of is that the wrong gecko was sent. Any other conjectures by anyone is mere speculation.

Without getting too long in the tooth here, but that might better be stated as the only fact that YOU are aware of. I was able to discern a few more based on posted emails, brillliant observer that I am. The biggest one was that Ed dismissed and/or downplayed Anna's "wrong gecko" claim, then once he had redefined her concerns to his liking, threw a lesser bone to pacify them, as it was a cheaper way for him to get past it all. He wanted it to be "case-closed" at that point, and she did not the more she looked at that animal. He ignored her continuing concerns. Thems facts to me. Here we are. Otherwise, I do look to read your posts for enlightenment. No $hit.

Fair enough. :)

Maybe it is just me and I am reading more into your posts than what you mean. If so then I apologize.

Either way, I guess I just simply dont follow your logic sometimes, Dan. That dont mean I dont love ya man, just that I dont agree with you sometimes.

did this ever get resolved?
you should have gotten your red juvie by now right?
did Ed ever admit his mistake?

just hoping you didnt get screwed.

Did this female ever end up laying? Mine'll usually dig a few days before laying. Has she dropped her clutch by now? Knowing if she did or didn't will help a bit with that timeline, at least.

she did lay 2 healthy eggs and when she was gravid I had another problem with her she had a protrusion coming from her belly. It wasn't rupturing anythng and got it double checked by a vet. After I got the OK i was successfully able to adopt her out As for the red juvie I dont really care anymore. I dont want anything from Ed Clark. He is a snake and a con. He has no compassion for the reptiles he owns which is a shame.

I think people will take issue with this statement

Yea, Never call the guy a Snake! Call him a leech or Maggot.. But Never a snake.. He will never live up to being called a snake!

oh to not i had the male in with two females for the whole summer and i have yet to see him produce. i had placed another male about a month ago, a little bit smaller the the male ed clark sold me and females are gravid...

he was sold to me with the brown harly female. as a proven breeding pair. they were Ed's best reds according to him. I just wanted to update people since i saw that he is showing interest on buying more cresteds and probably scaming more people

Bummer. Most honest sellers will stand behind the stock they sell and treat their customers fairly in such a circumstance as yours. But..ya know...it is Edward "Misrepresentation & Piss Poor Reputation" Clark were talking about, so...that's that. Not difficult for many to imagine that he passed along to you a dud stud that was just taking up tank space.

Find solace that the gecko's testicles are still probably larger than his former caregivers.
