Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a question....I don't know maybe I am thick but I just don't see how or why it would matter if Ed did receive an E-mail asking for a donation. Who cares? I personally believe the Wise's and I think that would be the general consensus for anyone who reads this thread but what difference does it make? How does it hurt or benefit either party? Why say it was sent if it was not? Why go through the trouble?
Was it that he was caught in a lie and so he is fixating on this little detail to throw people off the major issues of this thread?
I guess I just never understood pathological liers, and I still don't.
Ed, you have people saying you are doing bad business and you are fixating on a detail of whether or not someone sent you an E-mail. Is that really your highest priority? If you are fixating on this little detail it means one of 2 things...you are either deflecting the focus of this thread or the major points being called out on this thread are truth and you are only fixating on this little detail because it is the only lie.
You don't seem concerned any longer that your name is being dragged through the mud....only that the Wises sent you an E-mail. That does not tell of a person who does honest and ethical business to me.
I would think that if someone attacked my business practice I would not concerned myself over a detail of whether or not someone sent me an E-mail, I would be trying my hardest to repair my reputation.

Ed has been cough in multiple lies or puts himself in a situation where he cannot prove the unbelievable words that come out of his mouth.
Of course he is trying to deflect his own problems by starting a thread on me, bumping an older thread from serpentsden, and starting that b.s. with the wise family while there trying to do something good for a sick person in there time of need. But its obivious you dont know ed because if you did you would expect this from him. so feel fortunate that you never had to deal with him.
Ed's name is nothing to ed. he has burned most bridges with most people that he could benefit from. as long as he can go to the reptile shows and buy animals to re-sell to new buyers who dont know him. he may be able to stay afloat. just of course with more bad feed back to come on the b.o.i.
Dale he has nothing to back any of his stories. He says "most of our transactions were done in person or on the phone". I posted a couple different months where i had several e-mails from him. and the only thing they say is "i need more", "do you have more wholesale". all these e-mails but not 1 that says "i had a problem with one of your animals". He says he had the first problem in july :rolleyes: but he came back twice in august and once more in september for multiple animals. So it is what it is, i would love some kind of anything from ed (proof wise) but he is to busy slandering other people's good name.

I was really just trying to steer the thread back to it's original topic and try to keep it from going astray as Ed seems to like to steer it. My bringing up the fact that he was fixating on a little detail when he should be looking at the overall picture was to show anyone new who has not been following the thread how he is fixating on the stupid detail of an Email instead of how to correct this issue

Wow I'm am SOOOO glad I found this thread! I was actually considering buying from Ed til I saw this thread. I am semi new to fauna and barely on here but have been more recently.

I have personally bought a male trans from Tom at the Timonium show last year and when the little guy wouldn't eat crickets I emailed Tom and he told me everything he had been feeding him, turns out the little guy just didn't like crickets, Tom suggested I try super worms and it worked. He kept in touch with me to make sure he was doing good, showed me pics of his parents, etc. Now the little guy is a piggy and is doing great and getting big. I would not even hesitate to purchase from Tom in the future...can't wait for some frillies!

I didnt take the time to read this entire thread, but it seems to say the same things I read in most bad guy threads about Ed. I dont know Ed, have never bought from Ed, and dont care to buy frome Ed.

This thread is a good reason for the BOI's existence. To warn everyone of the kind of scammers and crap that exist in this industry.

For those who still choose to give Ed the benefit of the doubt, do so at your own risk
 
One thing that alot of people fail to realize is, just because someone conducts, say, 200 good transactions with as many customers and then screws over 5 or 6 on the side, that doesn't make them a good guy to buy from. Obviously, in any business, not everyone can be pleased. I work in customer service and I know that better than anyone. However, I think alot of big time dealers in the business think that if they screw a few people here and there, that it won't hurt their reputation. I say, think again. Because who wants to be random unlucky customer #2403 who gets worked by guys like this?
 
OMG I am SOOOO glad I did a search on Ed Clarke. I wanted to buy some Blue Phase White's Tree Frogs from him and even emailed him about them. I think I will look elsewhere. I was relying on the Trader Ratings, which I thought were good. I am sorry you went through this. Thanks for the heads up!

He think he enjoys the attention and the feeling of humiliation because he repeatedly acts out his wrong doings. Some people never learn and Ed is one of those people.

Let's be fair. While I would not likely deal with Ed Clark, I don't think he is a downright scammer. His business practices leave a lot to be desired.....big time. However, I would not classify him as a scammer.......all the same, yes, buyer beware.
