Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

In my opinion, Edgar Machuca at Geckogen shouldn't be allowed to be an exhibitor anywhere. At the San Jose Expo yesterday, he approached another vendor and started haranguing and harassing them for no apparent reason. Later on he was spreading false negative statements about that vendor. That vendor's animals were nice, healthy, and well packaged. What a jerk! Wonder how he treats his animals with that kind of personality. Especially if that's his "professional" behavior. Be warned!

Could I just ask what your involvement is? Are you a neutral third party?
Are you friends with the vendor that he had a interaction with?

Did you just overhear this 'harassment' of another vendor or were you told what was stated?

Who is the other person? What was stated that was harassing? Do you know if it is a ongoing conflict or did this incident just come out of nowhere?

Why are you the one here stating this?

I think that it would be fair to add a little more information here? All you put forth was he was arguing with another person and that you determined it was without merit. Tell us why?

And that isn't spreading negative statements about another person without any facts? Were you a vendor at the show?

A disagreement with someone and not including any details, we are suppose to conclude that means he treats his animals poorly?

I don't think that is really fair to him or the people that are reading this.
 
I was not a vendor, nor have I purchased from either vendor. I determined that the statements were unfounded on my own so see no need to repeat them. Quite frankly, I don't care if it was a one time incident or an ongoing feud. My opinion is that it was unprofessional. And if you'll behave that unprofessionally in that type of setting, when you should be on "good behavior," then I question his behavior when not in the public eye. Which also causes me to wonder about his animals. My opinion, that's all. Ignore it if you want, doesn't matter to me. :)
 
And seeing something with your own eyes is direct evidence as opposed to being merely circumstantial evidence. �� and in this case, direct evidence formed my opinion. No slippery slope, just sharing an opinion. Again, if you don't like it or disagree with MY opinion, ignore it.
 
Your testimony is not direct evidence when presented to others and you might want to familiarize yourself with the definition of slippery slope.
 
I wonder if his outburst had anything to do with this?

That other thread didn't achieve the OP's desired results; who is bringing the tar and who is bringing the feathers?
 
Wow-didn't realize I was testifying. Thought I was just sharing an opinion. You appear to be taking my opinion rather seriously. Friend of your perhaps? Maybe some of the other people who were present will eventually chime in at some point. And to clarify-he was harassing a HELPER of the other vendor. I'll say it again-I have not purchased from either vendor, just a third party. Rather than attacking the messenger, try ignoring the message. Otherwise what's the point of this forum?

You came on here and essentially made an attempt to smear Edgar, asking us to take your word without any presented evidence. I won't do that, but neither should anyone ignore this thread- this IS evidence of how you try to accomplish your goals. Did you even have the courtesy of notifying him of this thread?
 
The point of this forum, IMO, is to relate positive and negative experiences when involved in a transaction. Could you please read that other thread for me? This is not FB...I think people here generally like to form opinions of their own rather than be steered by those who may have ulterior motives.

I do not know either of you. I am just going by what is presented, which, so far, is nothing by you that is not a claim alone.

I could ask if you are a friend of Kasi or whatever her name is, but I did not, as I have been giving your the benefit of the doubt.

No one has attacked you. You have simply failed to prove any case thus far.
 
I have read the thread you directed me to. I'm not asking anyone to form an opinion based on MY opinion. Just sharing it so others may consider it should they choose to. I'm not trying to smear anyone-just was shocked at highly unprofessional behavior. I'm entitled to share MY opinion and experience without being accused of ulterior motives. And I fail to see why I need to conduct an unnecessary/unwanted transaction just to "justify" posting here (and the stated purpose of the board doesn't require a transaction). I was not impressed by the conduct and it raised questions in my mind. If what I've related doesn't concern you, scroll right on by. The only thing I wanted to accomplish was to share my opinion. I've done that.
 
Not true, Jennifer! Your opinions are more than welcome here, as are everyone else's. You shouldn't be surprised that they are not taken automatically at face value, as I would think that you'd appreciate the same should someone come here with a negative opinion of you.

Nobody is asking for a life story. Just maybe some facts about what happened.

If you want to come here and just state someone is unprofessional or bad to deal with you need to bring something to the table.

Jennifer, opinions are absolutely wanted here. If those opinions aren't accompanied by facts to support accusations then it is really hard for many here to give them much weight.

When your dealing with peoples livelihood and reputation in such a small community it is really fair to ask questions and gain a sense of what is transpiring.

While evidence is not required for statements made on this site it sure does help others form opinions. The readers will have to decide for themselves.
