    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What is the difference/ similarities between king snakes and milk snakes? Other than they share a name on a chart somewhere? They seem to look very similar but I fail to see why there would be two 'names' for 'one' type of animal... what is it that sets them apart from each other?

Well milksnakes tend to be smaller in the east and larger as you go west and into central America....milks are more colorful.....they are the coral snake Mimics....they tend to be a thinner animal....kingsnakes are larger in the east and smaller in the west....but overall are bigger than mills....more black...white....and yellow....more robust snake....anything else I miss?

Who knows were you could get an answer to that. Its not just the Milk snake and kingsnake, there are also Mole snakes and now recently the short tailed snake that all belong to Lampropeltis. I think the reason is because these snake's common names (non scientific name) were given to them before they were classified as Lampropeltis. Just like Gopher, Pine, and Bull snakes are all Pituophis.
