In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased a moonglow from Edward to add to my leopard boa projects and paid him 1300.00 for a female. It arrived 2 day ago and as soon as I opened the bag and saw this little very thin moonglow I knew it either hadnt been eating or it has been regurging its meal...

On his web site his terms say that the buyer has 24 to contact him with ant issues or complaints, well I contacted Edward 10 minutes after receiving this snake to report an issue and complaint

and here was email to him:

>I just got the snakes and Im very disappointed in the moonglow....You had in the ad that it was a very nice example of a moonglow feeding on adult mice, but it comes in as a poor example of a moonglow because she is skin and bones looks very much like she is either not feeding or regurging her meals. The male from the same litter is nice and thick for his age just the way i expected her to be.
let me know whats up with her...

Thank You,

William, please provide the length and weight of the snake you received. Do you have a screenshot of the ad?

Bum deal Bill! Sounds like a legit scenario to me. Good job on the notification of an issue right away!

Get it to a Vet for a 'hopeful' simple Flagyl inject., or run one if you have it. Should iron it out with proper temps and a 10-14 day rest. It is still alive and in your possession, I'm assuming?

FWIW, I have had a flawless transaction with Bill before, and.... I consider him to be on the 'up and up' and a 'straight shooter'.. He's been around a while, and may just be the one to save this Moonies life. JMHO. ~~~ Git er dunn Bill! She'll make it up to you in 36 months she says, through the wire.... :yesnod:

I saw a very small fat moonglow boa in the ad and again the picture was small and didnt enlarge but the snake looked fat plus in the ad it said it was a very fine example of a moonglow and that it was eating adult mice....I didnt know the age of the snake so I assumed it was a older large specimen....It probably was a picture of a last years holdback or something

Thanks Tom!
I know what to but hate to have spend 1300.00 on a fixer up snake....and then to top it off have the guy post that Im a BAD GUY!!!

The only thing Ill say is maybe ask more questions, get more pics, before you drop an exorbitant amount of money. Or at least I would.

That being said. If everything you say is acurate, he shouldnt be selling a snake in that condition. If you have pics, Id like to see them.

Also, let him know about this thread

Thanks Tom!

Total bum deal on that, but.. It'll be worth it in the long run if you SAVE her life.. Edward must/MAY have been too cheap to get it to HELP! That's a shame... those that dump stuff that need help.

There is the slight chance that it's regurging from being power-fed/pushed too hard/big... That would be a irreparable damage, and death is coming for her. And, I hope isn't the case for the animals life.

So, I guess I'll ask first.... Edward, when was the first regurge? And, how many do you know of? If none is your answer to both of these, get a Vet to write something/a diagnosis up for a measly $60 Bill, and post it.

Edward, this is where you offer to help your customer out and make sure the snake makes it through whatever it is going through, and your hands in the air 'whatever man' comment may not fly so well with some parties, FYI. :hehe:.. You ARE on the hook still, especially after being notified of a problem right away.

And in the meantime, maybe you can share everything you know about the said snake in question. It's life with you, what it ate, temps, the whole nine... So?

I have been breeding buying and selling snakes before most of these newbie sellers were even born...I have only run into one other problem with a seller a long time ago but most sellers are pretty honest and with all my dealings Ive done they are always pretty good I dont even mind a thin snake once in a while as long as they are healthy because they will fatten up but a regurging snake takes alot of work ...When i see a fat nice snake for sale and decide to buy it I do ask questions, doesnt mean the seller is going to answer them truly so I just hope they are as honest as I am...I never would have sold that snake if it were me until it fatten up and was doing great. I also replace or do whatever to make a buyer happy. If Edward Dicarlo keeps selling snakes like this, treats his customer bad and not honor his written terms he has no business being in this business or any business....Now everyone that sees what happened here should know not to buy from Edward Dicarlo unless they want to take a big chance but there are alot of snakes out there that they dont need to take this chance!

Perfect Tom,
It would really help to know everything about her but I asked and he kept saying she is fine and never regurged so I have a feeling he is going to stick to that story....She is only two months old as of june 4 th if that really is her birthday.if so hopefully not too much danage was done

I have been breeding buying and selling snakes before most of these newbie sellers were even born..

Bottomline:When I very first saw the snake I could EASILY tell that it wasnt a feeder or it was regurging

Bill, you fed it and it gurged. If you knew it was a gurger, why did you feed it right away?
Maybe it should have rested a bit after the trip?

Lucille,
I mentioned this before. Thru my many many years of experience I could tell that she was a regurger but the breeder seller is telling me that she has never regurged and that she was fine. So even though I am pretty sure she is a regurger but with him saying shes not now I thinking maybe he just has fed it much. So I fed her. I needed to know one way of the other for sure ASAP because if you buy a snake and write the seller a week later and say the snake is pucking the first think the seller says is that it must have caught something from my collection and he isnt liable...And now that I know Edward was lying and she is a definite pucker and Edward isnt standing behind her, I now know I have to treat her as a pucker and try cure her...

If you feed a snake that's just been on a long trip it might puke anyway. It is hard to pin that puke on either party. Why not just take it to the vet?

In the over 40 years of being in this business I have never had a snake puck after a long trip and I have many poor feeder eat better right after along trip....My friend would hatch alterna out and the ones that wouldnt feed, he would drive them around the block afew times and then they would eat that night...so the feeding after the long trip had nothing to do with it,,,

I worked in 3 major zoo reptile depts and know what to do you a reguring snake...Its just not right to pay alot of money to recieve a sick snake..

Why arent you asking the question of why Edward Dicarlo didnt say sent it back since you arent happy with its condition since you noticed me with in 10 minutes of receiving the snake which is well in the 24 hour guarantee?????

Usually in these the seller gets attacked for selling a sick snake and no standing behind it but its all about the buyer who got stiffed!!!
