    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Big Momma laid some eggs last weekend. I put them into the incubator and now three of the eggs are starting to collapse. What does this mean? The temp is at 90 degrees and the humidity is at 55 to 60%.

I have tried to get the humidity higher. The max that I'm getting is 60 to 65%. What can I do?

I don't know if there is a difference but I use an eye dropper to ad water to the sudtrate around the eggs. It worked just the other day for me but I had to ad almost a coffee cup of water to it with out getting in on the eggs. They popped back up in about 2-3 days.

cover the box in press and seal or plastic wrap of some sort. What do you have the eggs in and did you use vermiculite or somthing?

and what kind of incubator are you using? and why is this in the classifieds? :D Where are you located? Maybe someone local can help you out.

I live in Philadelphia. The eggs are in a hova Incubator. Got it from BigAppleHerp.com. I'm using vermiculite.

Turn the temp down to 87-88. In hovabators 90 is too high. The heat running that much dries out the air. Not to mention the thermotats in them suck and your temps will go up and down. Add a couple deli cups with water around the eggs. The heat will evaporate the water raising the humidity.

Good luck

I have had the deli cups in there since the start. I will turn the temp down. Thanks to all. This is my first clutch and I don't want to loose them.

Good luck with them!!!

Eggs are pretty hardy. Last year my power went out and im not sure just how many hours it WAS out and during that my thermostat lost its settings ( for some reason ) and stayed much cooler than it should have been. All the eggs still went full term.
