    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is first yr breeding. Day day 45 today.Do i put a small slice in top of egg on day 52.If I dont cut egg does it matter. They been cookin at 90 the entire time.

No need to cut until the first one pips. I take a small pinch at the top of the egg and squeeze/roll any viens out. I make a small 45 degree incision about 5mm long. After that, I undo the pinched section and slide the bottom blade of the scissors into the hole with the lower blade riding along the upper-inside of the egg as to not cut any viens. Cut in a "V" shape with each cut about an inch long. This creates a flap that can be pushed open for the snake to get out or closed to retain fluids.

You certainly don't have to cut the eggs at all if you don't feel comfortable. If the babies are healthy they should hatch on their own just fine. However, if you are going to cut them, Nick's advice is right on.

I personally use a razor blade and easily cut a V. You do indeed want to watch out for veins, but for me that kind of happens on it's own. I have yet to severely cut a vein.

Day 52 is NOT too early. If they are healthy they should be fine regardless. Once you cut them leave them alone as much as possible. Extreme fluctuating of temps should still be avoided.

This is the method I use here...http://www.worldofballpythons.com/videos/constrictors-unlimited/445/

Good luck.

I would really not cut until the first one pips or if they are over 60 days and look like they shouldve hatched already.

Pretty cool u can see the egg in an out in a spot where I assume he is breathing. None pipped yet but been watching closely. I think this is worse than waiting for Christmas when I was a kid.

I woke up this morn 3 out of 4 shell cracked and on one his head was completely out of egg. So I cut bigger slits so they can get out. So now do I just wait for them completely come out.

How exciting!! Congrats. Yes, definitely wait until they come out on their own. My first season I made the mistake of "helping" them out of the egg. Fortunately, I didn't lose any, but they were all hard to get feeding. They will come out when they are ready.
