    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What I need to know is, how do you know if the eggs are duds or if they are fertile? Is it ok to hold a light up to the egg? If so, what do you look for when you do?

There are no dents and the eggs are about a month old..........

Thanks Chris

It is my experience that after a month and the egg has not died it's a fertile egg. I just hold the egg up and look at the bottom. If I can see dark on the bottom half, I can safely assume it is fertile. If it's a dude there would be nothing there. Also the fertile eggs increase in size as the baby grows.

If you look in the top right hand corner of this pic you will be able to see the embryo at the bottom of the egg. Usually a dark pinkish area..............starts small and then just grows and grows!!!!

Awesome

Well, I looked them over for a few minutes and held a light up to 1 and saw the red veins. Everything so far looks good...... Thanks for the help!

The look fine, I get a few bad eggs now and then and they turn yellow, sweat and collapse over a couple days. You can kinda watch the dying process of the egg........

I assume this will be your first clutch?

One more thing. If an egg dies pull it out quickly. Bacteria will spread like wildfire to the surrounding eggs and kill them too if you let the egg sit for a while.

Great Help

Yes it will be my first clutch of bearded dragons. I have incubated chameleon eggs a few times so i know a little bit. Oh and I am also looking for a adult female to complete a trio. If you have any adults for sale let me know. Thanks for the tips..........

I know someone who has a couple females she is looking to sell. I don't know the morphs but I will have her post here so you 2 can hook up.........

Your welcome for the tips, lord know I still need em all the time.
