Priced high to make sure that you're not just buying because its a small tortoise. If you are willing to pay a premium for a premium tortoise, you're willing to put the extra mile in to caring for this species. Egyptian tortoises are some of the most amazing tortoise species to care for and own. They get stressed very easy, you need to make sure you're caring for it daily. Soaks, proper temps, proper humidity and proper diet. Once you dial in your care, these babies absolutely thrive. I can help you set up your enclosure identically to the way they are currently being raised. This limits their stress after shipping.
These babies are soaked daily, & have little exposure to UVB, only 1-2 hours a day (so they won't show up with LUVBES; lethargic UVB exposure syndrome). As they get older, their exposure can slowly increase.
These won't be shipped until they reach a certain size.
Please note that under 4" they need to be for educational use. This is a great species to study and learn from as they can live inside for their entire life. You would be able to observe and study for educational use.
