In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I'll give you two guesses and the first one doesn't count.

I haven't heard a thing from him, suprize suprize. I am going to attempt to contact him again and see what happens. At this point I just want my money returned I don't want to do business with someone as flaky as this guy has turned out to be.

So I was able to contact him by phone. I think I was the last person he expected to be on the other line, but anyways, he is supposed to ship out monday for tuesday arrival so we will see how this goes and what happens from here.

I wonder if he had the "deer in the headlights" expression?

I don't know, it would have been nice to be able to have seen his face when he figured out who it was that was calling him.

He atleast owned upto his part of it while being on the phone though. So hopefully he will follow threw with his word this time. I don't think he is a "bad guy" I think he just has his priorities screwed up right now.

In any case, as long as he follows threw with his word and the gecko arrives healthy and in good condition on Tuesday as planned, I will hold no hard feelings towards him. I understand we all have tough times in our lives and we always have to hit bottom before we can move forward and I think this is about where he is now. So, I hope everything gets better for him from this point on and that he can once again become a man of his word at some point and time.

The gecko has arrived. It arrived with the worst shipping/packing job I have ever seen which was nothing more then a cardboard box with some shipping peanuts in it. The poor little guy was cold and shaking when it arrived and had shed stuck on the toes. The deli cup it was contained in was just that, a deli cup, no moistened paper towel to keep it humid for it's journey no nothing.

Will keep everyone updated about how this little guy progresses and hope it makes it.

Why is that not a big surprise, guess he was to busy hanging in the VIP room to do things right.
Randy

Well, I don't want to drag his personal life into this, but from the sob story he gave me on the phone, it sounded as if the vip is the last place he will be spending time.

The gecko seems to be doing ok thus far, I did notice a slight kink in it's tail, but considering the circumstances, I won't be asking for a refund or stressing this matter. I'm thinking the gecko is more then likely better off being here then there so I will consider it a lesson well learned.

Thanks for the interest in the completion of the transaction all.

Another bad experience . . .

I also purchased from Eli, a "screaming orange" proven female. I sent my required cashier's check the day after I made the deal with him. Despite my numerous attempts, I had NO contact for a month and finally went through a third party to track him down. When I finally did get a response, it was somewhat rude and sarcastic, but I took the high road in order to get the transaction completed. My slightly orange, very gravid female arrived, barely 31 grams, poorly packed, freezing cold, soaked from her own urine, no paper towel, and shoved into an undersigned container. She practically inhaled food over the next three days, gaining three grams. I have been stalling on posting this as I offered to buy the rest of his lizards (in order to save them) if he would loupe the juvies. He said he would, after explaining to me that he would make more money selling them individually. I have never heard back from him. Defend him if you will. We have washed our hands. There is no excuse to mistreat a defenseless animal.
