BACKGROUND: I obtained a shy and skittish wild caught pair of Emerald tree skinks a few years ago from the last import of this species. From that pair I produced several offspring, two of which I traded to my brother. He spent two years taming them from hatchlings to the point where they are now hand tame, sit on your shoulder, and eat out of your fingers. They have produced several clutches of eggs for him. He has recently obtained another pet which now occupies their space and time and has asked me to sell these skinks for him. The male has a slightly deformed tail with bumps but Otherwise the male and female are very healthy and both are active all day. I doubt that there will ever be a hand-tame, captive bred, proven pair of L. smaragdina ever offered again.
