Prayers needed for my grand-baby, Sofia Charlotte Bova!!

Last night she had a seizure, and she's at Buffalo Women and Children's Hospital now, undergoing tests.

Encephalitis was mentioned.

Please light a candle and keep our little angel in your prayers!!

FOR A SICK CHILD

O St. Gerard, who, like the Saviour,
loved children so tenderly
and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death,
listen to us who are pleading for our sick child.
We thank God for the great gift of Sofia,
and ask Him to restore her to health
if such be His holy will.

Sofie is home tonight, but has to go back for more tests tomorrow.

Basically, the fluid they found isn't in her brain...but between the skull and the scalp.

They really aren't saying much right now.

Sofia has an EEG today, and tomorrow they meet with the neurosurgeons again.

No seizures last night, so that's a GOOD THING.

Now it's a waiting game...with all digits crossed...and trying to NOT think the worst.

Okay-next in this whole trial...they want to do an MRI, and that would require sedating Sofie.

Jenn doesn't want that.

The closest she'll let them get is to dose her with Benedryl or something similar, so right now, we're at a stalemate.

Obviously this is your judgement call, but without an diagnosis you can't have adequate treatment, and if an MRI is needed to get an accurate diagnosis, personally I'd be doing it, sedation or not.
