Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Okay but I am sorry. You have purchased the animals and I sent back for the ones that were already sold. I put up in the add that three had been sold before you posted your comment. I'm sure you could have seen it. You may have one of the Emerine females for free but that is the best I can offer since this group is already worth more than double what you paid for them. Thanks

Buyer fell through on these guys. Wonderful group to produce Radars with! Females are near breeding size and should have no problems producing this season. Take the whole group for $225 shipped! Thanks!

The buyer didn't 'fall through', she was presented with a different deal after she paid for the group, and had the gumption to stand up for what was right and ask for a refund.

Hey everyone :) My first BOI. :( had to happen sometime eh?

Anyways... Originally I wanted to buy one male and all the females... She wrote me back stating it was all or nothing... Then right after said it was okay to buy individual. I was gone for the majority of the day and didn't look back at the post to see if any had been sold. So i sent her the three hundred for all of the group.
after receiving the money she replied to me saying three were gone. TWO being females. So obviously wanting mostly females I didn't want the group anymore. So I told her this; she offered me two emerine females to replace the ones that were sold in the radar group. I told her I was not interested and again asked for a refund. she told me I had already purchased them and that I was not going to get a refund. She choice to only refund $60 dollars for the ones that had previously sold. I threatened to post on here and she decided to give me my money back.

So there ya go... I would sum this all up as a communication error. I should have looked at the thread to make sure all were sold but didn't. Usually when you are interested in buying a group of anything the person will let you know through PM if some were sold. It didn't happen that way. Not sure if that makes either of us a "BAD GUY".

Thanks for letting me know this was posted Abish

-Emiley Jones

De nada, thanks for coming and posting your side. It seems like a very reasonable explanation of your actions. Glad to see you didn't just send money without communication like I thought may have been the case.

In my opinion, the seller acted poorly in trying to force a deal on Emiley while she was holding her money, and acted even worse by posting a bad guy thread after it was settled.

:iagree: Sadly, a think quite a few buyers might have settled for a deal they didn't really want for fear of losing the remainder of their money. Good for Emiley that she wouldn't play that game.

its crazy that you saw that she didn't put they were sold till after I sent my money. I could have swore I checked her post; but I only glanced so I wasn't 100 percent. Thank for catching that! It amazes me how money hungry people are out there. I'm just glad I got my money back.

yeah a lot of good people on here. i am glad you got your money back too. Bridgette i think pretty much screwed herself. she posts on other boards as MiamiLeos just FYI

I was the buyer of the 3 from the group. IMO this site is like ebay. If you are intrested in buying something. You MUST check, check, check, constently. I was sitting at my computer all evening pushing the refresh button. Thats how this stuff works. I think both of you are not the bad guys. I think it was a communication error and a timing error. When I am really wanting something I pay close attention all day. Till it sells or I buy it. I would never send money without checking to see if the item is mine.

Just my 2 cents

I see what your saying Amanda. I USUALLY do that. BUT my brother had a wedding so I had to attend. lol

Not sure if you saw a few posts up... Its proof that Bridgette posted they were sold AFTER I sent money. Not much I can do there. She said whoever sends money first gets them; so I tried my best to hurry.

Thanks,
Emiley Jones

I see both you guys points. I think there is human error on both sides.

Emiley, Sorry I got the geckos you wanted.
(I can let you know when I get babies, LOL)

And thanks to Bridgette for getting my Radar Project off to a good start.

Other forum members, this is just human error. These are both good ladies.

Yeah, there was no good reason for this to be posted. Things like this happen sometimes, it's part of doing business. Bridgette, a more professional way of handling this would have been to send Emily a message upon receiving payment like this:

I am so sorry but some of the geckos you were wanting have already sold. Let me know if you would still like to purchase the ones that are left. If you do, I can even throw in an Emerine female to make up for the confusion. If not though, I will send you a refund right away, just let me know.

It's always best to be nice to people when there is a miscommunication, that way you are not losing a potential future customer.

I would not recommend doing business with this person. I will share my personal experience and leave the judgments to be made by others.

I had a group of leos listed for $300 shipped. When three were sold separately, I edited the add and placed "SOLD" next to the corresponding animals. After this, Emiley sent me $300 via paypal. I sent her a message letting her know that I refunded the appropriate amount to her paypal account as three animals had been previously purchased and marked as "SOLD" before she made her deposit. She then demanded the remainder of her payment back because she did not see that some had been sold. I do not understand how that is my fault, but I offered to send her two ovulating Emerine famales as she said she wanted more females. She declined and demanded her payment once again. At this point the blatant rudeness and shallow threats in her messages had me at a point where I did not want my animals going to this person at all. I have been told that I should not have refunded any of her payment, but I gave her back everything. Once she got her money back, she thanked me for not "wasting" any more of HER time. As of this time, Emiley has cost me two sales to individuals who would have really appreciated these animals. I would not encourage others to participate in business exchanges with this individual, especially if she is the buyer. Thanks,

Bridgette Taccolini
Miami Leopard Geckos

First of all, she sent the three hundred so of course she didn't know the others were sold. It doesn't make any sense that one would send money for something you don't have any longer.

Next
"I do not understand how that is my fault" Why is there any fault at his point? She sent you money for animals you know longer have She wanted the deal for the animals at $300. It was no longer available. You simply ask if you can make another deal, if not you returned the funds. Simple straightforward honesty. Instead someone sent you money and your like " mine, mine, mine! you sent me money and its not my fault. I'm going to change the deal you thought you were buying so I can keep some of this money you sent me." Hmm, I don't see any customer service there. I see lousy business practices. It need not be a issue at all. You knew when you received the $300 it was far the full order. A quick email to see what the buyer wanted to do was all that was needed. Instead you didn't do that. Did ya? Nope. You didn't even have to pass up any sales or change the ad. You just needed to get confirmation from your buyer.

I have been told that I should not have refunded any of her payment,

Lastly, who ever told you that knowing truth of the transaction is the worst of this hobby. If you did that, I and many others would consider you know better than any thief. I would suggest to the buyer to take immediate action to try and recover funds and you wouldn't find it easy to ever sell here again.

After all that, I have to defend you on another matter.

Emileypaige776 its crazy that you saw that she didn't put they were sold till after I sent my money. I could have swore I checked her post; but I only glanced so I wasn't 100 percent. Thank for catching that! It amazes me how money hungry people are out there. I'm just glad I got my money back.

I can view all the edits and times. She marked them sold on 02-24-2011 07:19 PM my time. You posted payment sent at 02-24-2011, 08:28 PM my time. So no, she didn't lie about that.

Alright all sorry I missed all the fun, reason for me being absent through this is I was running errands. I apologize if my original post was vague, I will try to clear it up here. First off, the reason it looks like I edited the post AFTER Emiley made her connent was because after she made the paymemt I marked the whole group as sold. Then after I refunded her money I had to go back and take the sold sign off. So the edit looks late. The original group was for nine leopard geckos. Here is the original add:

These are the last offspring of my 2010 Radar project. They are the product of a Bold het Radar Male and either a Bold het Radar Female or an Eclipse het Radar Female. Below is a picture of the male who fathered these guys. It was taken at the end of the 2010 breeding season so he is a bit thin and his color is more washed out than normal, but you can get the idea. All these offspring are the product of two Steve Sykes geckos and carry the size and patterns his animals are so well known for having. Individual pictures, weights, and hatch dates are available. I need the space these guys are in for my 2011 hatchlings that should be arriving in about a month. These guys are a STEAL. Take the entire group for only $300 shipped!!! MAKE RADARS!!!

Thanks

As far as the animals being prices as a group only, that is false. It is clearly stated in the add that they have individual prices or a discounted group price. No pricing was changed.
I may have been unclear about "not sending anything." What I was advised to do by several friends was not refund her payment for the available animals and send them to her.. because she bought them. Why would I keep both her payment and the animals? Emiley had asked me about a few individuals in the group but she never notified me that she was interested in the group as a whole or that she was going to send payment. I have spoken with a few other individuals who have had similar unpleasant experiences with Emiley, so as far as loosing a potential return customer, I'm not heartbroken about this one.

okay so they were posted. then is was me not looking closely enough at the post and just trying to send money fast to try and get the geckos. Either way I think it is all settled now. Amanda, please do let me in on some of those babies :)

Im glad we got this settled. Please dont hate on these ladies. I dont like conflict. Cant we all just get along :yesnod:. Now we have gotten to the bottom of this mess. And can focus on improving the reptile world.

Emiley, I will keep you posted

Bridgette, thanks again. Im looking forward to getting them Thursday.

the times do not add up as to when emily posted payment was sent nor does it match up with the times you posted on another board. this all seems rather shady. not really surprised though

Does it really matter? You knew she sent funds over the amount of the animals still available. She sent the exact amount advertised as the discounted group price. It is clear that is what she wanted. Not individual animals. I quick email could have solved everything fast. The group is no longer available, would you be interested in this alternative? Nope, OK here is your funds back. Simple and done.
