• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Enchi or normal?

Just a reminder to everybody that this is a discussion area....different rules here. With the seller now identified, posters need to be careful about making remarks that fall under the heading of "BOI type post".
 
I could see enchi, just not the nicest one. Hes got the reduced pattern towards the back end and you can kind of see the orange color along the bottom. Picture isnt the best though

I've seen similar pattern and coloration on countless normals.
Maybe it is just a bad picture...but, if that is the case, why use it to sell the animal (though that question could be a whole other thread, lol)

I've seen tons of sales with terrible pictures. Like I said it doesnt scream enchi to me, but I could see it being one, just not one of better quality. The female obviously is, the male I really had to sit and look at and Im not 100% convinced, but Im not ready to call it a normal either.

Im basically at the point that Im not sure either way. I am, however, sure that I wouldn't purchase it personally even if I was 100% sure it is an enchi. Nothing on the seller, just better examples to be found.
The females decent though.
 
They both look like low quality enchis to me...I see the yellow coming off of the belly.
The male looks to be a black back enchi that will also effect how much yellowing there is.

To the best of my knowledge both snakes are Enchis. I in fact had my own doubts when I acquired the male from a local Craigslist ad (paid more than the sale price) due to the fact the person was selling off her collection to help a move. I do not have her contact info. I asked around about a week after he came into my collection on the validity of the gene. This was in the beginning of February. My local shop is ran by Rick Millspaugh, a known name in herp breeding and an avid ball python morph breeder. His reptile guys re-assured me his genetics are there. A few of my friends who are fauna members were shown the male in-particular back in February and again assured me to the best of their experience the enchi gene was there. The female was produced by Marshall of NOCO reptiles and was purchased for far more than my asking price.

The enchi gene just does not fit into any of my projects until I can acquire a male Champagne Enchi. I believe the prices set fairly represent the example of the gene, especially considering I paid substantially more money for the pair then the asking price.

Attached are a few of the photos I took back in Feb. He absolutely glows and is in no way a normal ball python. The female also has a greenish glow that my camera cannot pick up. Please excuse the low quality photos as thats as the only camera power I have.

I will take some more pics today of the pair and post them at my first convenience.

Much better photos. Thanks. I have been thinking about getting into the enchi gene so when I saw your ad, I was interested.
