• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Ernie has been around longer than most, and is as REPUTABLE as they come.

Bottom line, you can't go wrong with Ernie, GUARANTEED!

Ernie is one of the trust worthy pioneers in the herp community. He has bred and produced herps for over 40+ years?

Buy with confidence.

Ernie will take care of you! He was a curator at the Woodland Park Zoo a long time ago and a good friend. He also wrote the "answers" in the "Ask the Breeder" section of Reptiles Magazine. I haven't spoken in a long time, as lost contact - please PM me, but rest assured YOU ARE IN THE BEST OF HANDS :)

The first time I had purchased animals sight unseen, (pre-internet) was from Ernie Wagner. Along with carpet pythons and an Emerald Tree Boa, Ernie told me he had these "really cool black and orange sand boas called Kenyans". I had no clue what they were, but he had 3.3, and I remember being so excited and blurting out the words "I'll take 'em!".
Each animal that arrived was more healthy and more beautiful than the next.

That was in 1988, and Ernie was great to deal with then, and I'm sure he is just as great to deal with now.

Good luck with your purchase!

It's been a few years since I've had any dealing with Ernie, but I can assure you that he is top notch and a many of his word. As mentioned, he's one of the old school breeders that's been around seemingly forever in the hobby. You really can't go wrong.

If there was such a thing as a reptile god, his name would be Ernie Wagner. I've known him since the Woodland Park days. THE man

Thank You guys for being super informative, How ignorant of me haha. Thanks you all for positive feedbacks and helping this community a better place! Ups for all!

Dinosaur Age

Ernie has been keeping reptiles for so long I remember seeing dinosaurs at his house. Gary Larson used Ernie and others at the WPZ for many of the characters in his comics. Ernie could very likely be the originator of breeding reptiles as more than a hobby starting with Burmese pythons decades ago.
