    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

If you were a gecko, where would you go?
Got home from work this morning, sprayed down the humid hides to find one of my jungles had escaped! I'm not even sure where to begin looking for her, doesn't come when I call either!
So, any suggestions? Maybe she went to vote.....
Well back to the search........

of course I tried calling him while I was looking, wouldn't you? :)
I don't know where the little turd went, it appears there is plenty of cheerios and fruit snacks under the couch incase he gets hungry!:D
I'm sure he's sleeping somewhere now, I checked under all the radiators since it's nice and toasty there, but no luck.....
I just hope he doesn't pop up in my bed later, cuz that will freak me out!!! I work nites so he'll have the run of the house until the weekend and if I come home just ONCE and find beer cans and cigarette butts scattered about, somebodys gonna be in BIG trouble!!!
Seriously though I hope he pops up cause I cant keep my dog in the porch forever.
Isn't here some kind of gecko call or something??? Maybe Gander Mountain has one.........

Seriuosly though

1st- Awww he is so cute!!
2nd- There are some posts on trapping them and how to lure them. I belive it involved placing a hide and a heat source near where he escaped as they theoretically do not go far. Maybe turn down the heat to encourage seeking the heat source. Also putting crickets in a clear container near there to get his attention. I can not recall it all but those are some of the points.
3rd- i hope you find him, if i see him here in Montana I'll give you a call. Is he wearing his ID tag?

Actually he has the name "Tarzan" tattooed on his butt!
I was trying to think of some sort of trap for him. I will do a search.

Hey robin...dont lose hope! I had a jungle escape at only 4 days old looks similar to yours actually. well anyways i was sitting at my computer between 2-3 days later and the little turd ran by me and i caught it outta the corner of my eye. i had to chase him all through my junk closet (it was cracked open) and i fially got him tail and all. Id also like to mention that i have a german shorthaired pointer (a hunting dog) and my computer is upstairs and the geckos are down stairs so dont rule anything out (however my stairs are carpeted not sure if yours are). Good look in finding him/her...heres a pic of my escapee after catching him....hes much bigger now.

Gecko Update??

Hi Robin- I was wondering if you had found the litttle guy yet?
I love his pic-he is beautiful...don't give up- I am sure that he will turn up and be very hungry!!

Still haven't found him. I put some mealworms, water and his hide out for 2 days and not one worm was gone, though I think I will try a different room tonite. Working 12 hours doesn't leave me much time to tear the house apart, and there is soooooo many places he could be hiding, hopefully he didn't make it to the basement, that wouldn't be good. Anyways I have off Saturday nite and will do a stake out!
I'll keep you posted!
