In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Exotic Pets of Las Vegas GOOD GUYS

PS:

I noticed the quote from Monty Python's "Holy Grail" under your signature.
I love that movie! My favorite line is: "Are you suggesting coconuts migrate?"
LOL!

Thank you very much for the kind words again. We really do try to do our best for the animals we are charged with, and for our customers. Sometimes we come up short, and for that we are very regretful. But for the mostpart, we seem to be doing pretty good. I love this site the most because it makes the old saying "if you do something right, no one remembers, and if you do something wrong no one forgets" moot. At least in this place if you screw someone over, you get fingered for it, and if you take care of your live stock and your customers, it's right here for everyone to read. Thanks again.

And, as for the poster that visited my store, once again, I'm very sorry you had a bad experience. I promise to do better on your next trip. Please make a next trip! As for those pesky wood mites, you are most likely correct. Hired a new guy, told him to spray all the herps everyday. Just a little for these guys, a whole bunch for these guys, etc etc. He proceeded to drown everything! And boy, do them mites like the damp wood. Got so bad in a few of the amphibian cages, we actually had little mushrooms growing right out of the dirt! They were actually kinda cool, but enough already! He was re-trained, and the mites and the mushrooms are once again under control. You'll love our new digs, very pretty. Of course, any pet store is very pretty when it first opens. The real trick is keeping it pretty years from now. We have added about 60 new enclosures, which of course means even more work, more cleaning, more upkeep. But that's ok, as we are just going to hire another staff member, and go on. I just love having as many different herps in my store as possible. First, because I just want them all, and second, if someone walks in or calls and says "hey, you got this or that?", I can say, yep, we sure do. I know you can't have it all, but it don't hurt to try, sometimes. That's about it. Once again, hope you give us another chance. I'll make Ashley wait on you lol. She's actually very nice, honest!

By the way, my actual favorite line is "you small minded wipers of other peoples bottoms". Kind of gets you, right here.

I'm pretty new to the Fauna site and new to the Las Vegas area. I recently moved here from NJ for a new job. One of the first things that I did after getting settled in was to go to every pet store that sold reptiles that I could find. After covering almost every pet store in the Las Vegas yellow pages (excluding the more than numerous PetSmarts) Exotic Pets is my favorite to visit. I've interacted with Ashley "The Screamer" and found her to be most pleasant and informative. Last time I was in the new location, everybody was still setting things up and arranging things. I noticed that everybody seemed upbeat and happy to be there. Aside from having a great new, larger, and not to mention spotless store; there was a possitive attitude from everybody working there. I totally understand what Ken was saying about pricing animals in a retail market, but I don't find anything outrageous there. I am more than happy to spend a few extra pesos at a privatly owned establishment. Especially when the folks are well informed and good hearted. I look forward to doing buisness with you Exotic Pets. Perhaps I'll ask for the man in the back and introduce myself next time I'm in there.

That's my two cents on what pretty much seems to be a resolved issue already, but hey, it never hurts to send a praise every now and then. It doesn't happen enough in my opinion.

Good day to all,
John Mazure

Wow, I just don't know what to say besides thanks, very much. The new store is pretty cool, and I don't think I've worked this hard in years. I'm almost done.....I think. Ok, give me another month or so, then I'll be done......I think. The biggest worry we had about the move was getting all the animals set up right before we lost anything, or anything got sick. It took us a week, but we finally have all the heat up and we actually only lost one or two animals in the move, which was a great relief. Then of course the most heartbreaking thing was leaving some of our geckos behind. When I opened the store 15 yrs ago, I bought 12 large wc tokay geckos, and just sat them in an open box on the counter one night and left. Of course they had all left the box by morning, and they were my loose cricket/roach/various feeder insect control all these years. A few died, but most of them lived, and lived on through their babies. We would smile as we watched baby tokays running accross the wall in the early afternoons, or would find one behind the freezer when it was time to clean there, or even behind books next to the counter. Anyway, when the store was emptied, on the last night, in the middle of the night, armed with flashlights, we all went lizard hunting in the old store. We were able to capture about 7 geckos, 3 adults and 4 babies. It was sad to know that we had to leave some behind. The old landlord locked us out of the place the next day, so we were never able to go back and get some more. I'm hoping that when the new tenant takes over, they will allow me to go inside and try and find a few more. I have already let the rescued ones go in the new place, and while working at night in my office I can already hear them barking every so often. To me that means life is almost back to normal. I sure to talk a lot, sorry. I don't know why I typed this. I guess I just needed to tell this to someone. I really, truely love what I do for a living, and I thank all of you for making it a pleasure to be able to work with you all. I'd also like to say thanks from Kim, Tiffany, Ashley, Matt and Garbial. They love working with everyone. If it was not for thier hard work, dedication and love of the animals, Exotic Pets would not be what it is.
Please, on your next visit, ask for me (Ken), and introduce yourself.

Take care

I just had another positive experience with Ken Foose of Exotic Pets in Las Vegas. We just completed another trade and I received another nice Indian Sand Boa and Rough Scale from Ken !!!!
