In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Picked up 1.1 Mangrove Snakes from Ken Foose last week...superb animals..both already feeding on thawed hopper mice and rat pups. They were'nt the usual imported Mangroves either...no nose rubs and amazing body weight...and not even one bone sticking out of either tail! LOL

Ken pulled them all out and gave me his impression as to which he'd keep if he were me. After re-probing the two I liked the most the deal was done. Not offering opinions, just facts...a more honest and straightforward businessman in this hobby you'll be hard pressed to find..and Victor, I am no plant!

This is the same person posting ads such as seen here: http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=14&de=675420

??

Just curious because as you know, many businesses carrying variations of the word "exotic" and "pets" over the years, I have trouble differentiating the two.

Are these mangrove snakes actually aquatic or terrestrial animals? I'm not familiar with them...

Yes, that is the same company. I apologize for not being more specific..these are Mangrove Snakes...arboreal, rear-fanged, and not to be confused w/the aquatic snakes of a similar name.

well i am happy for you billy i bet you payed a pretty penny for those. kens prices are pretty high. but to each his own ! all i know is that i sell those snake much cheaper then anyone around. congrads!

I believe the word is "paid". Actually he traded me straight across for some Baytril and Flagyl I brought back from a recent trip to Mexico. At one bottle of each I did well! Even at his listed price I had no shipping charges and didn't have to deal w/the whole shipping scenario.

Also, contrary to some I am willing to pay a premium to Ken as I know the type of man he is and more importantly, I've witnessed countless times the animals he keeps and the conditions they're kept in.

I've rolled the dice buying sight unseen from others and fortunately have yet to have a deal go sour..but as we all know, its just a matter of time....

And then ship them illegally through USPS, killing them in the process. You forgot to mention that part. You also forgot to mention that you're the craziest dude to ever post on the BOI, and have a weird obsession with trying to bring down this "nemesis" of yours.

Actually, Bill did not pay for the pair of mangroves with money. He traded me drugs for them. Now, the next day he did come back and bought a second female, this time with cash. But I love trading for drugs. Baytril and flagel are just the best things to trade for. You should try some Vicky. It will for sure clean you out. Won't make you any better a person, but hey, at least your stools will be less wormy. And you might be correct that my Mangrove snakes are more expensive then yours. But mine will live. Mine eat. Mine have been treated for indo and exo parasites. Have yours? If so, what dosage of baytril  do you use for them? How about the flagel. Or do you prefer panacure? If so, what's the formula you use when treating your snakes? I'm always interested in learning from the pros such as yourself. We are all here to learn. Please teach us what you know. I await your wisdom.

Just for fun Vic, which part of my post are you agreeing to? That your animals are of a poorer quality then mine, or that you are full of useful wisdom? And you have yet to answer my direct questions to you. Could it be that you don't have a clue as to what I'm asking you? Hmm? Small minded wiper of other peoples bottoms, that's what I think you are.

After reading the drama spewing on the forum over Ken I figured I would add my two cents.

My experience with Ken from several years ago was interesting. To say it went well is an understatement, even though it did not go as planned. There was a slight mix up with FedEx (who Ken used to ship the childrens python I bought, that's right, FedEx) and my box was not delivered to my door. I called Ken and asked if he knew what was up and he told me he would find out and call me right back. Within 15 minutes Ken called me back with an update.

The box was at my local FedEx hub, he told the manager that there was a snake in the box and that it needed to be in a cool place. He talked the manager into keeping the box in doors until I was able to get there. The manager had the box in his office waiting for me to pick it up. Never did he complain about shipping the snake. What he said was he hoped it was doing well and healthy. This snake came from Ken, so it was fantastic; fat and healthy. This was long before FedEx started allowing shipping waivers for snakes. Because of this, Ken gave me a discount on my next order.

Maybe a year after that, my wife were in Vegas and decided to stop in and meet Ken in person. He upheld that discount he promised me and we purchased another animal from him before we went home. He came down to Anaheim for NARBC, so once again I was able to catch up to Ken and BS about nothing for the hell of it, Laura Fopiano was there too (we miss ya babe!).

About a year later, I purchased another animal from Ken, he is a true to the heart reptile guy, I like those type of people.

I have done business with Ken, online and in person. From my personal experience, Ken was great to work with. I recommend him to anyone. His prices are not all that much higher than anyone else, but remember, he has a store, not a hobby he runs out of his house. Ken treats his customers with a lot of kindness and respect, I think it is on the customers to do the same. From what I have seen, if someone has a problem, Ken fixes it, even though the problem may lay entirely on the customers shoulders. If the problem is not resolved (in the customer's eyes) it is all on them.
