In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Well, mixed review is truly the best statement I can make here for the following reasons:

1. 12-10-06 Answered an ad on KS for '06 male balls that were advertised as eating (I didn't care live or thawed as no big deal to change them over if needed.) Were posted at $25 ea. or 5/$15 ea. Since we were getting one for a niece for Christmas we just ordered 5 in hopes of getting 1 or 2 we might like to hang on to and sell the others later. Didn't expect CB this late in the year at all but since it showed them to be feeding, thus at least a bit acclimated, figured I'd go ahead.

2. Had sent payment to Exotics Express and then learned that they were using Exotics Millennium but went ahead, perhaps idiotically.

3. 12-11-06 received notice that the package had been sent...prompt though I did have to ask twice for a tracking number...but no big deal.

4. 12-12-06 UPS driver brings the package to my workplace since he knows me and didn't know that oldest daughter was at the house waiting on him...just shook his head & chuckled when nobody else would touch the package. Went into my office (actually neighboring office as the guy I share an office with was ready to bolt and run like a scared little girl ... he hates spiders also)and opened the package to make certain that all were alive and healthy since it is wintertime though the weather was exceptionally and unseasonably nice. 4 ball pythons came out of the bag (were well packaged and all looked healthy)...not the 5 I was expecting (definitely not the 5 in the photograph he was advertising.)

5. Wrote AJ from work (may have been the reason I received no reply) that one was missing and later had to write again from home. AJ said that he'd shipped multiple packages that day and that I got the wrong one and that he could either refund the cost of the snake or I could have one hand-picked with a future order. (wife took offense at this one because if it had been the other way around I'd have shipped the missing snake the next day available and eaten the shipping cost because it was my screw-up and she'd have reamed me good for days on end over it.) I told him to give me a couple of days to decide.

6. Immediately upon getting home a couple hours after delivery I got them into quarantine and began settling them down so that we could begin getting them on a feeding schedule.

7. Found the thread on the Calabars and little red flags began flying so watched carefully.

8. I decided on taking the refund a couple of days later and that evening found a $15 refund by e-check on the PayPal account for the missing snake.

9. Tried feeding thawed mice and rats on Saturday the 16th and not a one fed...didn't expect all to eat yet but didnt' panic or anything. Wrote AJ and asked if they were used to feeding on live or thawed and whether he had them on mice or rats. Guess what....NO ANSWER.

Since we've had these problems I haven't probed to determine that all are male as advertised and not too worried because if we end up with a female or 2 then I'll just consider it a bonus for the BS.

Have since tried again with no success at feeding luck so far but have been through lots worse and since they still have good body mass am not overly concerned yet. Will know more after they feed some and shed, but may have gotten a least one morph in the bunch but even that will require test breeding in a couple of years to prove/disprove...and that's providing that they feed and thrive in captivity (may have to resort to hamsters or even gerbils to get them to start feeding and move on from there...we'll see.)

So, to recap, snakes not as advertised, non-feeders, wrong quantity sent, did send payment for missing snake (hit with fee, no big deal to me) and went into silent mode when asked about their advertised feeding routine.

So, not a totally bad experience, but not a totally good one either...thus the "mixed review." If I had known that these were fresh non-feeders I'd have figured that they were worth closer to $10 each rather than the $15 we paid in hopes of having 1 or 2 survive (But single price of $25 ea. for a feeding WC '06 wasn't bad and qty discount sounded decent at the time...still not as bad as it could have been, but still shady.)

Eventually, when I have them feeding and doing well in captivity, I may go ahead and sell one or two of them...but you'd better darn well know that they'll be advertised correctly as WC '06 (m/f known w/ certainly) in captivity since approx. Dec. '06 and with a date of acquisition posted as well as how and what their feeding is like. These we got look healthy and have good size, so I do have high hopes for them. I'm just not sure I have high hopes for AJ and Exotics Express if they don't develop truth-in-advertising and better customer service, especially post-sale when questions or issues.

I accidently got the 2 orders mixed up as they were in the same size box. I accidently sent you the 4 instead of the 5 which went to the other customer. Emailed that customer and never got a response, so he got an extra one. Stupid mistake, just had a lot going out that day. Sorry for the mixup and I did send the $15 right away but for some reason it didnt clear right away.

These points were clearly spelled out and kudos were given for admitting the mistake and the quick refund. However, the fact that we received non-feeders rather than acclimated feeders as advertised does give cause for concern, especially since one is to be a X-mas present tomorrow to a 12 year-old, who has been stalled for over 2 years due to age and parent support, as is the lack of response to the inquiry into their feeding habits...and this isn't the first time the issue has come up for you in recent months. I did attempt to find the original ad on KS so that a screenshot could be taken to prove the wording, but all ads from you have been removed which appears to be an executive decision from KS rather than personal removal of ads (I may be mistaken as I haven't looked at every page on their classifieds to see if I can find one posted by you and, frankly, don't have the time right now.)

I know that I've sold fresh CH (April) babies that had their first shed here, have fed a minimum of 2 times (usually 3 or 4) and shed again for $25 (and groups at $12 to $15 each.) I now have to wonder about parasite loads, am wondering if they will ever feed, and wondering how our niece will react when she has to leave the snake here for a month or 2 while we get it acclimated and feeding (and you knew the importance of this one as it was stated in the very first contact and knew that the feeding part was one of the reasons we ordered in the first place.) If they were in fact feeding, as advertised, then a simple reply as a form of follow-up customer service would have been nice. When the inquiry wasn't responded to it caused me to remember another thread on the BOI concerning another specie that is known as difficult to acclimate out of the wild which were sold as feeders (as I recall they were misrepresented to you or something along those lines) and were in fact non-feeders that failed to thrive in captivity for very long.

Now, mortality due to lack of acclimation in ball pythons is not as bad as with other species, especially if the person knows a few tricks, but the hassle of dealing with it when the animals were sold as feeders comes as a bit of an irritation under this set of circumstances.

I give credit where credit is due...and did just that. The mixed review is, IMHO, a fair and just statement and in no way is a "bad guy" post as there were some misleading (as it appears right now) statements in represention of the animals with decidedly poor customer service follow-up in regards to the "issue."

I'd like to see what others have to say and how they feel about it...but this is neither a total "good guy" post, nor is it a bad-guy post. It's a "mixed review."

Hey david,

Like I said, the 2 orders got mixed up so the 5 ball pythons like correctly sold and pictured in the ad went to someone else who has never replied to my email since the day or arrival when I was notified from you. Those were all feeding and doing great like the ad said. If I could go back to that day and resend the 2 boxes I would sure of hell do that, I am truly sorry for this mishap in the 2 orders as it wasnt just the difference in heads in the box, but they were the 5 from the ad as described. So everything would of been correct and truthful if you had those 5 arrive to you as oppose to the 4 so/so eaters which arrived to you instead (sold to the customer as so/so for $9 each). I am really sorry and am just ticked at myself for letting a simple mistake like this happen, nor matter how many orders were going out. Please email me as I want to reemburce you for the holidays so you can give the money to her to get one from the local shop or another seller on the web since I am out of feeders like those 5 were that got mixed up. I am not blaming UPS or anyone, as it was my fault since they were both in the same size box and I put your address down on the box with 4 really cheap so/so. I am sincerely sorry for this and to anyone looking at this, this sure wont happen again. As for you David, like I said, please email me at [email protected] as no one should suffer the loss of a stupid mix-up. And I did attempt to send you an email about them prior to this date and do not know why it never got to you. Take care all and happy holidays.

I accept the apology without any problem. The price the "so-so" balls sold for sounds like very reasonable price since they may or may not adapt in captivity. So, $6 difference with 4 snakes is an acceptable refund on the pricing. Like you I wish things had been different and not gotten mixed up, but hey, "stuff" happens and you're trying in this case, which is the only one in which we have a financial stake.

Please, do me one favor, and use the "Refund" option with PayPal when you send it (if possible) so that it doesn't show up as a payment for something which gets hit with PayPal fees. This would be a legitimate use of that option and is used regularly.

For anybody else who is reading this, I will say that AJ is trying to set things right as best he can under the circumstances and deserves some credit for it...even though it's taken a bit over a week to get happening. Won't speculate at all on anything and I'll simply accept what has been said already and that he's trying to do the right thing, period.

AJ, just use the e-mail address as before or glean it from here at Fauna as it's the same. If you still can't find it just post back here that you need it and I'll PM it to you on your Fauna messages. I know too well that it's hard as heck sometimes and you seem to be stepping up to the plate...which sometimes takes a figurative pair (you know what I mean.) Thank you.

Not to be a jerk but if you are buying animals from Jppets and reselling them as healthy takes guts, I dealt with them twice and the animals took weeks to get healthy enough to sell. You should never count your chickens before they hatch

AJ,
Hope you're still online like you were when I looked these up. E-mail bounced due to what looked like server problems and just e-mailed you again. Just a reminder that today is Wednesday and was supposed to hear/see something happening yesterday since all banks and such were closed on Christmas (however, PayPal was open even though I didn't expect anybody, including you or me, to be doing deal on Christmas.)

Please follow up. Thanks.

scammer

I see a lot of excuses from you aj. Everyone in the world, save for you, seems to be in the wrong. Where is Mitch's refund? Your credit, like your word, is worthless.

Just heard from AJ and he's sending it via MO so will post when it arrives and such. Don't know about these other problems as I haven't been involved but this one is looking better. I've tried to keep up with the other thread but grew weary of the extraneous nonsense was little more than finger-pointing and name-calling. While I hope that AJ's other problems work out I'm going to only concern myself with this one thread where I can post a positive outcome (hopefully) where AJ can reveal that he's willing and able to make things right given a little breathing room. If Mitch's issue is well posted in the other thread, then why don't we keep it there under it's original heading which, if I recall correctly, is listed as a "bad guy" post. This one was a "mixed review" that apprears headed for a "pretty good/decent guy" ending. In other words, lets keep the apples and oranges in their separate baskets. But then that's just my opinion and am certain that some will refuse to let that take place.

I come on here with full hearted energy to make things right with the ones who got burnt (not intentional on my behalf) and find myself having to express it all out with you. Do me a favor, shut up and just read the posts as oppose to throwing your 2 cents in it, which would of been nice to hear except the way you expressed it, by slamming that at me in an ignorant way. I AM DONE ON THIS THREAD, Mitch email me and I will keep you updated when my new stuff comes in. HOW CAN I BE A SCAMMER IF I AM SPEDNING ALL MY ENERGY ON THIS THREAD???????? My unlcle died yesterday and I have more important things than to explain my self AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN to you who had nothing to do with the transaction. Happy New Year. If you do not like the way I am handling things, dont be a big shot and slam me with it, say it nicely. I dont want to sit here and argue with you, I dont even know you, I just dont appreciate it when you pop out of no where and throw things at me when in fact, I am taking care of the situation. Take care man,

Thank you David and dont worry, I am going to take care of Mitch good, I just need a little breathing room, not 21 questions when they already have been answered. Take care all.... (I am sorry you and David had to endure this but I am doing my best to get it worked out as fast as I can and appreciate you taking things so well by actually seeing the picture for what it is, me goofing on your order and taking a word on the calabars, STUPID and also STUPID.) Happy New Year....

Well it gets worse. I have sent several emails to AJ regarding my "credit." No response. No list of animals for exchange. No nothing. I'm sure that this thread won't die because David will never receive his money order, as promised. AJ could have fixed all these problems if he wanted to. He just wants to see if we all just tire of posting and go away.

Mitch

Thanks. Was sorry to hear about the loss of a family member and so hadn't paniced or pushed as I'm a believer in family first and you had things to deal with besides a refund. I'll be sure to post here when I receive the MO so that everyone can see. Don't know if the mail will run here on Tuesday, but I know it will run for certain no later than Wednesday. Thanks and have a Happy New Year.

It is my distinct pleasure to proudly proclaim that AJ came through...with flying colors above and beyond all expectations as he refunded part of the shipping costs as well which wasn't expected. Some people will continue to say bad things about him, but at this point I'd do business with AJ again, anytime, as he's shown that his business practices and ethics are stellar.

Aj, thank you. If I can ever be of assistance just let me know.
