Goes to show that when you treat everyone fairly, you'll eventually get a few that are just bad buyers no matter how fair you are. You've always been very good to me, at least.

Well, you all are going to LOVE this.

I just got off of the phone from someone at TPD (Tallahassee Police Department) asking me about a complaint from this guy in California. I was told by the officer that this guy claims I was selling a gun to him and he wanted his information deleted after he cancelled the deal.

I explained that no, I am not, and was not, selling a gun to him and it was just a fabrication on his part to try to stir up trouble, using the word "gun" to try to catch the attention of the local authorities.

The officer asked about the situation and I explained about this website and how the guy (Charles Maxwell) posted potentially damaging remarks against a seller, which requires such claims to have ownership with a real name attached to it. Then when he had the tables turned on him, and he got embarrassed by the way things turned out, he wanted to delete his account along with all of his posts here concerning the statements he made about the other party. I told the officer that it is the policy of this site that all such posts, and related account, are NOT deleted and I am standing behind that policy. The officer did ask whether or not I could delete the account, and I said that yes I could, but I refuse to violate the site's policies by doing so.

The officer said that she does not understand internet stuff anyway, but there is nothing at all she needs to become involved with and wished me a good day. I'm sure they get their fill of crank calls like this and she immediately recognized it for what it really was.



Obviously he is just trying to stir up trouble and is quite willing to blatantly LIE about it. He just completely made up that statement about me selling him a gun to try to allege that I was doing something illegal. I believe that the issue he brought up here is just the tip of a very deep iceberg concerning this guy's personality. It is my firm belief that anyone and everyone contacted by this person steer FAR clear of him for their own safety and peace of mind. Write that name "Charles Maxwell" on a post-it note on your screen, if necessary to make certain you don't forget it.

See? And you all thought it was nothing but work and mind numbing toil running this site. Every once in a while I do get a good laugh to make it all worth while.

With any luck TPD will contact the local police department in the guy's own home town about him filing a false report.

can you say missing screws. I'm also glad that he didn't purchase a dragon from corky or his wife. It probally wouldn't survive long.

Before this thread was started, I knew nothing of Corky and Jammie, other than seeing some of the gorgeous dragons that they breed and sell. I still don't KNOW them, but I do know that they sound like people that I would WANT to know! Just keep doing what y'all are doing. IMO you showed a lot of character in the way you handled this situation.

Actually that does say something about the BIG MEANIE.... kid filed a false police report against him and he didn't even ban him for it.

No kidding, I agree. He should have cleared his browser cache and he would have avoided all this. The updated screen would have shown "SOLD."

No telling though, he would have probably made up something else. He lost several times in this thread, to many different people. He only gave them more business in the end.

To the OP, my experience's on this site in general, i try not to contact the seller unless i have the money or at least a deposit...so that way i limit situations like this one. Just seems like good business practice to me...

Now as for DIAMOND DEN, I had a smooth transaction with corky and jammie a couple of months ago and it went great..


When i saw their name atop of the BOI, i immediatley knew there was something fishy... They have awesome customer service and their dragons are awesome looking..

I will definitely be purchasing another dragon from them in the future and anyone else that "needs" a dragon should definitely go with Corky and Jammie!!

A seller cannot hold something any more without at least a down payment. People are always saying that they are going to buy something, and never follow through. If you take something off the market, and then the person doesn't buy it, you may have missed a legitimate sale. A seller can hurt his own business by holding something without at least a down payment. In today's market, it's first come, first serve.

I hope for your sake, Charlie, that you did learn something from all of this. I also wish you luck in your journey to maturity.
