    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Yeah just popping up to say that I DO check the feedback forum before PMing/etcing XD

For the third time had my browser redirected to some adult thing that promptly had a teenage-looking lady bear herself... pretty much full screen :(

... at first I wasn't sure if it was my computer but since it's only happened on fauna.

Good luck fixing it Rich! It's not happening to me often but it's kinda yucky when it does. I don't browse at work at least.
 
I had done a scan and removed whatever it was that redirected me....but...I was redirected again today...and I gotta say, my boobs are bigger that the peep show I got..haha....so sorry, could not help myself..true story though..hehehe

I was in the kitchen with my wife last time it happened......atleast she was there and didnt just happen to walk in :p Kids came in shortly after, oldest has seen the ad half as many times as me. Shes starting to feel like family :rolleyes:

Hey Rich, it startled me to say the least when it happened the first time I found porn on the preacher's computer screen. I thought I had a virus but it continued to happen every time I clicked into fauna only. I found this link and have been following since.

I hope you know we all appreciate the work you do. This is one of if not the premiere site used by many excellent breeders and hobbyist's and we applaud you for the efforts you are taking and will be here through this with you and sending some prayers up for you.

Your humor, understanding and vocal appreciation of Rich and his site is great testament.
 
Howdies. I just clicked thru to paypal to toss 25 for being a contributor, paid on PP, was waiting the 10 seconds for PP to redirect me back here, after 20 seconds clicked the link to come back here, and went to the dating svc site.

But I know Rich is working towards a solution. I'm just kinda disappointed I haven't been blessed with jiggly body part images. I'm gonna keep trying though.
 
Speaking of which, this brings up another problem. The correspondence between PayPal and this site doesn't work any longer to update accounts when payment is made either for paid memberships or sponsorships. I have to update all accounts manually when I get the email notice about the payment.

Hopefully this will resolve itself when the changeover to the new server takes place, and is just another symptom of the same problem.
 
Well at least you don't have to put it in an insulated box and hold my hand through 47 additional emails afterwards. (How should I prepare my snakes for a hurricane? & such)
 
True.... And I don't have to worry about something dying if I just don't FEEL like helping people who can't remember their password for a few days.

I'm sure this is getting monotonous, so just say if you don't want any more reports.

Similarly to the others, it seems that it's the first link of the day that gets redirected, after that all is well.

This morning I followed the link I got by email reminder to

and got redirected to porn site

After that all links went to the correct threads.

LMAO .. I never stayed long enough at the redirected site to notice. Sexist, I cry! If we must endure malicious redirects, why not to hot guys? :rofl:

(ps ... I have no young children or spouse to explain to or deal with, hence my playful attitude. For those who do, my respect and condolences. Just trying to lighten the mood, cause it really sucks the most for Rich :) .
 
No more reports are really needed. Nothing is going to happen to fix this till the site gets moved to the new server. Speaking of which, guess I need to cattle prod them along to get it built.
 
oh i thought it was malware on my computer for a sec...then realized i had seen this twice coming from fauna...... good thing i checked this forum...i dl'ed so many programs trying to find the problem!!! was getting ready to smash my computer
 
Dammit....... Just got word from the server hosting guy that the server he sold me isn't actually available. Just great of him to take all this time to figure that out.................

He's offering me one with dual 5639 processors instead of the original 2620s and bumping RAM up to 24gb. Shouldn't be that much difference, but it delays getting the server built while all this is going on.

Double dammit..... Where's that Excedrin bottle?

I would of went with the Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz over the xeon c. Costs much more, but handle the load better.

I don't know much about computer stuff. But so far, the redirects seem annoying but harmless. If that is what they really are and they can't sneak in and somehow harm our computers, it's not a big deal for me personally to just cope with the occasional redirects if it means you will be getting the server you want.
