    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, this is my first post here. I have had my leopard gecko for two years now, with the exception of her being a picky eater she's been doing good. This weekend I was out of town and she shed, normally I can tell she is going to do it a few days before and I put a moist hide in, but I didnt notice and when I came back she still had shed on her hed. I carefully got it off but then I noticed that one of her eyes she wont open all the way. I looked online and I think it is an eye infection. I was just making sure she would be okay till Friday when is the first avilable appt at the reptile vet a town away. I am worried about my little girl, she was the first reptile we got and has been the pickiest one also. I am worried that her eye is scratched because my husband moved her on to sand made for reptiles this year since he didnt like the paper towels. There isn't any gunk coming out of her eye. Any help would be great, I just dont want to worry too much till we take her to the vet on friday.

It could still have a piece of shed on its eyelid. A small piece can sometimes not come off and lead to an infection. check the eye carefully. If found try using a cotton swab carefully around the eye and try to get it off that way.

Hey,

I encountered this problem before. Get some lubricating eyedrops and use it carefully on the problem eye. It should open the eye. It took me almost two weeks, with a few drops twice a day, to correct the issue. You may see some stuff either caked on the eye or around the eyelid area(but still in the eye). You'll need to get that out carefully and continue to flush the eye out twice daily until the eye can function properly without help. Take care.
