    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I knew that would get your attention !

In an effort to help bring more participation and interest to the BOI forums, I have designed these banners for anyone that would like to use them. Feel free to place them on your website in the appropriate places and just link them back the BOI Discussion forum.

Please check back often, as I may change them from time to time.

I don't have very many decent pics of leo's. so if any one wants to shoot a few that I can use (I don't work with any of the designer morphs), I will make a few more.

If you have some you want to send, please send them to Home Grown Herps
 
Just curious as to why you made the banners? Was this something Rich asked you to do?

No, no one asked me to do anything.
I just did it because I wanted to.
I like this site and I think it's an asset to the hobby, and would like to see it grow.

So I thought this was a way that I could help.
Why.... did I step on toes or break some rule ?
I thought I was doing a good thing :shrug01:

I know that when I mention this site to my customers...9 out of 10 of them never heard of the BOI.

I don't think Rich as anything ...
When I spoke to him about it, he said it sounded like a good idea.
So I went ahead with it.
 
As long as Rich knows about it thats cool, not trying to start anything, but I know if I had a site like his I wouldn't want people making banners advertising my site without me knowing it, thats all.... :bolt01:

One person that has to question the reasons why someone tries to do something good and not ask for anything in return. You don't give me much credit thinking I haven't talked to Rich about this before taking the time to create ALL those banners. ( which took the better part of a day to do ).

I had the courtesy to answer your question even though you didn't answer mine.
 
I don't think anyone here is jumping on you, we just wanted to make sure we have the site owner's permission for advertisign for the site. The main reason we ask is because 1)If it wasn't approved, and rich did get upset, he'd be upset at us as well and 2) as a site owner, I prefer to know what sites are advertising for me to make sure it doesn't appear that I'm affiliated with a crappy site. So no one is jumping on you, we just wanted to make sure that Rich knew about it and was OK with other people advertising for him.

I personally like the banner and may use it on my site. Feel free to use any picture on my milwaukeereptiles.com site (ask and I'll e-mail you the non-watermarked original).

But, as I mentioned earlier, do you think that little of me ?
Do you think I would do all the work involved in creating those banners BEFORE talking to rich about it?

You may have only seen a few banners , But made close to 50 of them for just about every thread. If I had decent pic of the herps. I made the banner.
I didn't have time to post them all yet, but over the next few days I will post more of them in the appropriate forums.

But no hard feelings, I am only attempting to help.
 
Great Idea! When i -get- a site that is actually coherant, I will be sure to add these. However, they say Leopard gecko discussion forum, but link to the boi, am I correct in this? Why not have a BOI banner or something. If it stated discussion forum, I'd like to link it here...

Maybe I am just not reading it right :)

Once you place them on your website you can link them right back to (in this case) The Leopard Gecko Discussion forum.
They do say "Discussion Forum".

Glad every one likes them.
