Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So last night i saw the number of people on the threads and it was the smallest iv ever seen, so i took a picture of it. Iv also noticed a lot less poeple have been of fauna the last week is this normal this time of year?

I'm going to blame the Holiday weekend. People are getting away for the three-day weekend, most left last night.

Either that or there are individuals who have just not felt like logging in.
For the last several days, or for this past week(?), Fauna has been set to require log-in in order to view any threads/Ads.
Perhaps a combination of both reasons.:shrug01:

Holiday weekend
School back in session
Tropical storm / hurricane Hermine tearing up the east coast and knocking out power.
 
I agree with Melinda. A lot of Florida and south Georgia folks lost power due to Hermine Thursday-Friday. Many still don't have power. That coupled with the holiday weekend probably reduced Fauna visits a lot. Short term, 3-4 day trends really don't indicate much... gotta look long term (monthly to yearly basis).
 
Melinda brought up a couple of other good reasons/possibilities.
Especially re. Hermine. Hermine may even be the reason we must log in, to view threads/Ads, this past week +/- (although it is purposely, and temporarily, set, to that, once in a great while).

I'm used to Facebook, so Fauna seems like a deserted wasteland to me 99% of the time, wish there was more general posting of reptiles than classifieds and BOIs
