In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

This is a picture of Dan Costello the scammer.
He used this email to try to scam me and he actually scammed a friend with the same email.

He has been exposed as a scammer and has the attention on the Pa State Police now, all thanks to a few hard working fauna members.
I think we can change his new email to.

Ok... according to his myspace, this kid is 18? Holy hell! He's pulled off alot of scams for bein so young. I didn't even know this many people got hit by him.
Just a few things to go by in the future:
-If a seller asks you to pay through western union, don't. This is mainly for emergencies or something of the sort, not to pay for a sale.
-If he looks like a huge d-bag, don't buy from him.
-If he is using stolen pictures, chances are he doesn't have any animals to sell in the first place.
-If his name is Danny Costello, just ignore'em. Eventually he'll just go away.

So, in addition to PM'ng people in their 'wanted' ads, and placing ads of his own, he now seems to be PM'ing people interested in other people's ads. He may be targeting people who waffle a little bit on the payment amount, then PM'ing them with a down payment option.
There's so much info on him now...I hope nobody falls for this.

Game is known for scammers. My son and daughter played a couple years ago and I had to stop them, because too many people were taking advantage of them, getting passwords, stealing items in the game... ridiculous, and doesn't surprise me a bit that he plays that game. lol

I just received an email from this guy for my wanted ad. I had posted a wanted ad for some IMG het boas... He emailed me with pictures of Marcus William's IMG het vpi ph snow boas. I was already under the impression of a scammer as he was selling a pair for only 1k. I'm glad there's a BOI on this dirt bag. Obviously he's still doing what he's doing on fauna and hasn't stopped.

It would be a lot more helpful if you posted the account name that he is using; though you should be fairly certain before you make such an accusation, as these threads are permanent. If you state someone is scamming, and associate them with a known scammer, it can have a long reaching impact on them.

I'm positive it's a scammer. I will post screen shots of the emails I received from him. the pictures he sent to me were Marcus William's pictures. I know this because I've contacted Mr. Williams himself expressing interest in his img vpi boas. I've also asked this Daniel Costello who produced the animals and he claims it's another breeder. I had also asked this person to send additional photos of him holding the pair of boas. I never got a reply after this email. furthermore, this person had requested that funds be wired to then instead of using PayPal.

My points were that a) one should be sure before making the accusation that one of our members is him), and b) if he's preying on this site again, it would be helpful to people if his current info was posted.
Obviously, we can't stop people from viewing the site or using posted means of contact.

Grow up! Did you even read the reason why you got your infraction? If so, then don't whine about it, and take it to the Fauna Feedback Forum.
Now, do you have the Screen name that you are accusing of being this person? If so it'd be relevant to the thread.

I have seen these pictures before. These pictures were from the litter of Marcus Williams. I had just spoken to Mr. Williams a couple of days ago expressing interest in this litter. The photos that I uploaded were the same exact photos that Mr. Williams uploaded. Furthermore, I never contacted anyone else with text messages inquiring about the IMG het vpi ph snow. Mr. Williams was the only person I dealt with.

I moved to Phoenixville, PA about 6 years ago but I grew up in Norristown, PA so I am familiar with the area & semi-close to all surrounding areas such Hatfield or Lansdale. Please keep me posted on the status regarding the state police & if I can assist in anyway! I will also be keeping my eyes & ears open at any of the local shows. If anyone has any additional info to provide me (such as his photo) please do so.

And thank you, David, for posting the emails. There's nothing we can do about that approach; so, hopefully, people take the time to research him before sending money or animals.
