Yes, Greenland does use 299. However, so does a region in Argentina. Perhaps another country/region as well?
Considering, I figured that stating it is not an area code assigned to any U.S. areas would suffice.

When your integrity is questioned, the only thing you can do is be as forthright, calm, and professional as possible. Start acting defensive and/or arrogant and your whole reputation falls apart. If you can't handle questions like this, how will you handle problems that may arise during transactions, such as shipping delays, unhealthy snakes, bad buyers/sellers, etc? So far he has not done anything to assuage buyer fears and done a lot to validate them. I personally do not have my mind made up about whether or not he's a scammer, but there is a lot of inconsistencies with his information so far that I would not feel comfortable doing any sort of business with him.

Didnt someone already look up the pics of his animals and say they werent from online? What further proof would there be that the animals are his? And im not really sure what proof you want of where he lives. Are you expecting him to send you his electric bill? Just seems this whole topic just flew right off the handle to me.

No, I never asked for an electric bill, but if you want to put that out there then fine. I asked for simple proof, (which was shown.) Obviously he had no issues doing it, so what is your issue with me asking it?

By all means if you want to be condescending and snippy too, have at it. That's not my problem. My problem is the way that he portrays himself is very off-putting and will make it hard for most people to want to do business with him. If that's the goal he's going for, then he's doing a great job.

What I said is your baby isn't three months old and asked if it was born with a regen tail because a three month Abronia taeniata wouldnt be that big especially get tro that's size and grow a tail back that fast. You say you are in sd here but when you friend requested me on fb it says texas. I am very aware of the games people play crossing animals from Mexico. Fake names fake addresses fake everything. You just joined here. Everything you are doing sounds like you are crossing animals or getting animals recently crossed. Your way of speaking is very similar to most people who fall under this category. You use the term zone. No one in the US would say that. 299 area code. Could be an app to cloak your real number real location. Most of the guys crossing stuff over and selling to US buyers always have the buyer get a shipping label in their name as shipper and recipient and email to the seller. So im just saying you have a location in Texas on fb and a location here as San Diego and a phone number in Greenland. All looks fishy to me

Matt, thank you for the photos. It's clear you have the animals. However, just because the animals are in your possession does not mean potential buyers will have faith that you will actually send them animals once a payment is made. I understand why this thread would have you feeling defensive, but I encourage you to address the fears of members here by acting professionally and answering questions without being snarky in the future.

Maybe this person is of Mexican decent? Which would explain the spanish? You guys really seem to be ganging up on him. Looking from the outside in yea it seems that way, especially to someone who very well could be legit and you all are on here like vultures asking all these questions, picking everything apart, etc. My fiance is from Puerto Rico, has been here since he was 12 and STILL has issues saying and spelling things right in english. That does not mean this person is a fake, if this is how you all would react should he post an ad and it had bad English I would tell him to stay away from here. Come on, he's show he has the animals how is he going to prove where he lives without posting something like someone else said, a bill, etc. Even my fiances facebook says he lives in another city than where we are now, does that mean he's a scammer? No. I get some of you are jaded when it comes to these things but if he hasn't actually scammed someone then lighten up.

One of the rules of this forum is that you use your correct name and location. I don't care that these animals are fresh out of mex. That is obvious. I don't care about anything except the truth about who the seller is and where they are located. I think fake name. Fake location and fake number. The grammar. Terminology and many other things are what leads me to believe this to be the case. Especially in regards to Abronia and what's going on with them. I'm more concerned with people being who they say they are.

I asked this seller pointed questions in their ad. New member. No posts prior to ad. Misleading and misrepresenting claims in ad. Then the person friend requests me on facebook the facebook looks shady and he is in Texas. So all these things together are very suspicious.plain and simple.

You are one of the sellers who came here to sell animals crossed from mexico,you buy them from mex, like your Scelophorus, Morelet's frogs, Xenosaurus, all that fauna came from mexico and you or your contacts are crossing them to usa, and no one is asking you where are you, where you get them, if is a real CB, I dont trust you have real CB animals, you and your ''bussines friends'' only cross the animals from mex to sell here in the us, thats not my problem Jay, and my ad i think is not your problem too. also, if i'm From mars, or china or mexico or guatemala i think i'm writing correctly for all, without disturbing i just came here to sell some of my animals, available, i'm waiting someone PM me, who wants to came here at San diego, No one is contacting me to visit me. i joined here and i just found a lot of rare ''Smugglers'' like Jay who publish Fake things about me, only because they dont know who i'm, and i dont care, some people is really racist, just for my bad english? ! obiously, my blood is from other country, but i was born and grew here in the us. ok i'm tired. good bye.

Neurergus, naultinus, quedenfeldtia, echinotriton and I can go on for hours listing species from all over The planet I guess I smuggled all of those. I have the largest and most diverse collection of reptile amphibian species on the planet everyone who is into obscure species knows who I am.
