In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Or is it spelled "flier"? :shrug01:

I've recently had someone offer to place flyers for this site at their show, and I was a bit embarrassed to admit that I didn't have any. I used to have one a long while back, but it's not really appropriate any longer, for one reason or another, so I think it is time for another.

Unfortunately the person who made up that flyer for me is long gone, and I don't really know of anyone to call on for a new design.

Anyone willing to take a stab at this for me? If I can find an image of that old flyer, I'll post it here to give you an idea of what I want, since I did like the overall design of that one.

Hmm, that was easier to find then I thought it would be......

What information did you want on it, Rich? I imagine some of that information needs updating. Did the person who originally did it happen to send you the original art file?

Sorry, but no, I didn't get the original PhotoShop file.

As for changes from what you see in that image I provided, I would want the numbers replaced with something more general, since they will change and make the flyer out of date pretty quickly. Also, the statement being "made" by the leopard gecko is no longer appropriate, and I would like that changed as well.

A replacement certainly does not have to be exact, or even close. Just giving you an idea of what I had originally that I found perfectly acceptable.

Thanks.

Here's one of the ones I came up with (low resolution copy - high resolution copy would be available if you choose to get them professionally printed). It needs content, wasn't too sure what you wanted it to say...and I need at least 2 other photos (personally I would like to see a frog climbing and then some sort of side view of a gecko)...So it would be awesome if a member or two would be able to donate photos (keeping in mind they have to be crystal clear, high resolution).

That's not what I meant by content, but good call on the Social Groups! I forgot about those!

I would be more then happy to put these fliers on my tables. When the flier is done I will save it and print it. I hit about 70+ shows a year. They are not all big shows but it could help?

Cool!

I forgot I had a Crested Gecko... But I still need a froggie photo and content! Rich, do you have the original art file of the GGC's? That might be something to put on? Anyone have any suggestions on what information they think would encourage new members?

I'm looking for something kind of like this for the froggie photo:

I was thinking of setting it up for double 5.5 x 8.5 so you can print two flyers on one 8.5 x 11 sheet.

I would prefer a full sheet format myself. The smaller a flier or handout, the more likely someone will simply discard it without even looking at it.

O! I didn't mean I was only going to provide a 5.5 x 8.5. Sorry! I meant I was going to setup both (the art file is already 8.5 x 11 with a 1/16" bleed) in case someone else wanted to include it in something at a smaller size (I think I'm going to get them printed myself when I order my flyers and do them 5.5 x 8.5 to include them with shipments).

I can tell you the reason I joined fauna was the BOI. It's a great resource for researching any breeders before purchasing. You should maybe explain it a little. Another great resource is obviously the classified section, but also the information on the many reptile species that can be found here. Much of the information posted is from some of the leading breeders for those reptiles. I may not post much, but I pretty much read everything available.

I love the fliers TME, they look amazing. You're doing a wonderful job with them.
