    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What's everyone feedback on Prehistoric Pets?We are thinking of getting the pair of het anerythreistics they have.Thanks Jon Larson

I was very dissapointed in Prehistoric pets.   My wife and I went into their shop with high hopes of seeing a nice reptile only store.   The sad fact was the animals were in VERY small cages, adult iguanas in like 30 gallon tanks, for $400, so they will be there for awhile, messy cages, and just a sad place to go if you like reptiles.   My wife wanted to give up reptile keeping after seeing their store, because she felt so sorry for the animals in there and the condition of the environments.   When you have a caged animal, you are responsible for EVERYTHING in its life.   I will never buy anything from them.   The prices were rediculous too.

first off,,i just want to say that it reallyPISSES ME OFF when i hear about places that treat their their animals like ####!!!! i myself have called my local S.P.C.A. on pet store in my area cause the cages were disgusting...i think that all these people should be put out of business and charged with animal cruelty!!!! i have been keeping snakes since i was a teenager(im 28 now) and i am in the process of starting my own snake selling business.. i am not doing it for money(my wife & i already have a residential & commercial cleaning company) i am doing it because i love snakes...dont get me wrong,,money is good to have,,but we make a decent living from our cleaning business... i go to my daughters school and teach the kids about snakes & things like that..i will be concentraiting mainly on ball pythons(albinos & normals) in fact,,i just had a clutch of normals and have been advertising in my local newspaper(until i get a website built) and i had lady come to my house today with her teenage son and she wanted to get her son a snake for his 15th birthday,,i would not sell her the snake for the simple reason that i do not believe that MOST teenagers are responsible enough to PROPERLY care for snakes like they deserve to be cared for...the point of this post is not advertise,,but to say that people who sell reptiles need to be concerned about their animals well-being before and after they sell them!!!! the animals are far more important than a couple of bucks,,and the people that forget this should not be in business,,PERIOD!!  they should be in jail where they can know how it feels to be subjected to dirty and cramped places!!! and the people that see these stores treating their animals like this need to let the authorities know and stay on their ass until they do something about it!!!!! i applaud the people that have called the authorities on these places and beg of other people that see these stores treating these animals like this to do the same!!!  if i have offended any places that treat their animals this way by this post::::I DO NOT CARE!!!  you should be offended!!!  why should anyone care about YOUR FEELINGS when you obviously dont care about the animals you are selling!!!

Jay and the gang at PP have continually shown the herp community they don'y give a D@MN about anything but the almighty dollar.

They will sell you a sick, mite infested reptile, and smile while they do it.

Sad, really, they DO get some nice stuff in there......only to subject it to horrible conditions.

Steer clear, IMO.

I have no personal experience with Prehistoric Pets, but I've always thought it humorous that the ads they post for boas say "Retail" instead of Redtail. Freudian slip anyone...

I bought a Female Parson Chameleon from them back before they moved around the corner and into their current store (the main one). The animal had a systemic blood infection and passed away within 48 hours. I was out of my $450 they said in a nutshell. Years ago when The Parson's were available they had over 15 large males in one of their bigger habitats, I found out a week later from a source that 9 had died due to stress and fighting but since they directly imported them for a low price and sold them for $450 each, they actually made a small profit from selling 6!!!!  I contacted one such buyer a month later (he had found my name in the CIN) and I found that his animal had been nothing but health problems from day one.    Steer clear of that place, I went in there about six months ago for the first time in some five years and NOTHING has changed. Using the internet to sell animals sight unseen has got to be a dream come true for them. <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'>
