• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

I have a mealworm colony that is rather small since I just started it (somewhere between 50-75 beetles with maybe another 50 pupated)
And I still haven't seen any larva. I went through twice a month and separated the beetles out and put the substrate into a separate bin to hatch whatever eggs were there. I have gotten no little worms yet (though I see them mate.) The substrate is a mix of Wheat Bran and flour, and I kept it at about 72 degrees Fahrenheit. So I'm wondering why there are no little worms?
I put in carrots (and apples- they swarmed it)regularly, had paper towels for them to congregate under that I moistened slightly, and a cup of water to add humidity.
(Same with hatching spot.)


Also, I want to start a cricket colony, and I have a 10 gallon tank with two heat lamps. I put paper towels across the bottom and partway up the side, with a pile of paper towel rolls, and a container full of coconut shavings. I saw crickets hatch, and some walking around. that was two weeks ago and I haven't seen any since. kept at a nice 90 degrees or so. Removed adults after 10 days.
