    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey I have a leapord gecko im also sort of new to this. Its probably about 5-7 months old now it pretty big and very healthy looking. My problem is that he will only eat crickets. He wont eat mealworms or pinkies. He will just go up to a mealworm or pinkie lick it then leave it alone. Is this normal?? Is it ok that his diet is consisted of only crickets ( I do gut load them) what else could I try to get for him that he may like to eat??
Thanks
Tim

Welcome…

A staple diet of crickets is fine. You could try putting a dish of mealworms in his tank and leave them with him all the time. He may or may not eat them as they don’t move a lot. As far as pinkies it sounds like he’s just too small. A 5-7 month old can’t handle pinkies like an adult can. If he eats pinkies feed them sparingly. You could also try superworms, silkworms, and roaches. These are a lot more active and may catch his attention better than mealies. Good luck.

Ok thanks. Yeah I had a bowl of mealies in there for some time he didnt touch them. Can I get the superworms/silkworms/roaches at a local petstore?? Or is there a good site I can order some from?

You can get the superworms at a pet store but the silkworms and roaches you can’t. You can get silkworms at Mulberry Farms. For the roaches Clay Davenport has some. They’re becoming real popular so they be hard to find.

Try placing a small slice of carrot in the mealworm dish. The mealworms will start moving around and twisting and turning around it. This often gets a Leo's attention and gets the hunter instinct kicked in. Roaches are available on the internet. Both Cody and I sell them, depending on which type you want. I have Lobster roaches, as does Cody- he also has some others.

Good Luck
