In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Does anyone have a feeding plan like the munson plan for cornsnakes for different snakes. I just got a pine snake that weighs 1823 grams and am trying to figur out a gram amount and days I should feed him. Any sites or threads that anyone can direct me to would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Bill!

I have used his "Guidelines" for all of my colubrids.

This is what I found, but surely 1 adult mouse for the couple of snakes I have weighing over 1000g should get more than 1 adult mouse every week or two. I don't want to over feed, but I don't want to starve them. Maybe there is parts to this plan that is missing?

-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 5-6 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 6-7 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 6-7 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (20-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+) See below.

Note: Adult females are fed more frequently than adult males (especially following brumation). Adult females are fed every 7-12 days; adult males are fed every 11-14 days.

I'm sorry I misunderstood your post. I only use the guidelines for sizes up to what it lists for adults not the actual feeding schedule.

Mine get fed when they seem to be actively searching for food which is around twice a week for growing snakes and active breeders once a week for everyone else.. For something as large as a pine I would be looking for rats that give him a lump that takes around three days to disappear. It is a fair guideline for most snakes.
