In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ok this is a story
My female ball is live feeder
Last week I swich her from 4 mices a week to small rat every 10 days
Her first rat was total success
Today things wasn't look that nice
When she strikes rat don't give up and get away
My baby finish with small scratch on the head and no will to eat at all
What I shoul do right now
I gona wait a few hours but should I give her the same crazy rat or should I give her some help (stun rat ) or should I do something else
THX for any suggestions
Rafal

I wouldn't try to feed her again today and would wait until the next feeding day (in 10 days?) and offer her mice again. Give her several weeks until you try a rat with her again. Try to get nothing bigger than a weaned rat.

Waiting till the next feeding is the better idea. Also, if a little more information could be provided it may be helpful.

How long have you had her?

What is the age/weight?

What can you tell us about her home, (temps, setup, etc)?

Do you wish to feed live? Or are you going to switch to stunned, PK, F/T?

People here are very happy to help. As much information as you can give will help to get accurate advice.

Help fill in the gaps and the folks here will help if they can.

She is almost 3 years old right now. She was my pet. Right now i'm gonna try to breed her this fall so i need gain some weight. she is about 3 feet around 700 grams empty.
Cage glass critter cage 20 gallon temp ambient 80-84 with hot spot 88
humidity 70%
I feed in separate container.
She always refuse PK or F/T i have her for almost 2/5 years right now.
She was a mouser (4 in one feeding every 7 days) but i want to pump a little weight on her before fall so i decide switch to rats and like i said first rat 10 days ago was killed and eat very fast this time rat put a fight live a little scratch on her head ( nothing serious thanks god) and she lost interest.... (rat waiting his fate in separate cage ;) )
Hope thats help You to give me more precise advice

Yeah, as was already said, wait a week or so then try again. Hold the rat with tongs or forceps so that it cant freely attack the snake, just dangle it in front of the snake, but not too close, let the snake come to the rat a bit. Once the snake wraps it up, let go of the rat with your tongs.

Setup sounds good.

Try to get some bedding from the mouse cage at your pet store. Then let the rat run around in that for an hour or so before offering it to you snake. That should put the scent of mice on the rat and may help with a reluctant feeder.

Switching from mice to rats can take a long time. With persistance though you should be able to get her to switch. I got 4 mouse eaters a while ago and got them switched over with little effort on some and much effort with others. The two males switched almost right away. One female took about 5-6 months. the other female I worked on for 18 months before she would take rats regularly. For the really picky one I had to follow this plan.

Live mice to stunned mice to pre-killed mice to F/T mice scented with fresh mouse bedding to F/T mice to live rats scented with mouse bedding to pre-killed rats scented to pre-killed rats to F/T rats. All that over 18 months.

She has always been a picky eater but now takes F/T rats when she is hungry. Even with all that she will still take a couple months off over the winter.

Hope that helps, and please ask for more input if you feel it is needed.

Ok guys 7 days pass and victory!!!
I got little smaller rat in petco
I put her in feeding container an release rat
Takes a while because rat was so active but as soon as he calm down she start staring at him
And in this critical time rat make deadly mistake
