These female Peruvian locale Brazilian Rainbow Boas were born here on september 12th. They are tame and calm. They eat live pinky rats and small mice. They have shed two times. They are $85 each plus shipping. Shipping is $30 for Fedex priority overnight delivery to a Fedex/Kinkos near you anywhere in the southeastern states. I have had lots of questions about the taxonomic classification of these snakes. All of the Rainbow Boas have been reclassified. There are now 5 species with no subspecies. Peruvian Rainbows Boas used to be a seperate subspecies. They are now combined with the Brazilian Rainbows Boas as one species with the common name Brazilian Rainbow Boa and the scientific name Epicrates cenchria. There are no longer any subspecies of Epicrates cenchria. My adult Peruvian locale Brazilian Rainbow Boas are more intensely colored than typical Brazilian Rainbow Boas. They also have fewer and larger scales and have thicker darker markings. As babies they are plain and do not get their best color until around 2 years of age. I acquired my original specimens from some imported in 1998. I added to them buying unrelated bloodlines produced by other breeders after 2002. I have the best breeding stock of these Peruvian locale Brazilian Rainbows in the country. I anticipate that they will someday again be recognized as a seperate species or subspecies.
