In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have quite a few Cynops Orientalis (Chinese Fire Belly Newts) efts for sale. These are a species are are very difficult to find thanks to the ban that only just got lifted last year. They are captive bred individuals from my breeding group.

They are $30 each plus shipping. Shipping price vary due to location of where they are being shipped, if you want a quote just shoot me a message with your zip code. All boxes are insulated and shipping is done Monday through Thursday if weather permits. All shipments are done via UPS with express next day options only, I will not ship any other way but express to ensure they arrive there in the fastest manner.

-These are TERRESTRIAL efts, they are not aquatic adults and will need to be in a terrarium set up for at least a year before they may begin to show signs of becoming aquatic.
-They also need to be fed live foods, they current are fed a diet of dusted fruit flies but can eventually be trained to eat frozen food from tweezers
-Roughly around an inch in size

Unfortunately not looking for trades. I do not have the space to keep anymore species of newts/salamanders at this time.

40 is kind of crazy.... these are 15$ at best.....

You are probably think back to when it was around the 2010 to 2015 era where these species was massively still imported as wild caught where you could buy these at any pet shop for anywhere from $6 to $15. I got my adults around 2012 when they were everywhere and readily available. That is until the importation ban happened in 2017 where this species in particular basically vanished off the maps in the newt keeping world. Yes some species can still be found but I know that captive bred ones are definitely going for more that $15 cause it just not possible to raise CB newts with selling them at the price of the wild caught imports.

Captive breeding this species is by far not easy, they are not like other captive bred species that grow fast and are hardy. These guys require a lot of time, labor as well as requiring live foods in order to grow as larvae and then even once they are like these efts I have that they still need live foods and a terrestrial set up. It was a lot of work on my end this year to have managed to raise this many and my price reflect on the work, time and cost that went into raising these guys.

Not implying disrespect but i have a friend i actually met off here that breeds newts and yes - they go for around 15 cb. Just have to look and be patient. Its not very difficult to raise these if You have the time. I understand where you are coming from my opinion just differs. I think 40$ is unreasonable. Ill refrain from further comments. Have a nice day.

Pushing this back to the top, I still have around 50+ of these guys left, price is the same. I do offer discounts on quantity orders for those looking to get a large amount of them.

Answered all e-mails and message regarding these guys! Also as a minor update, dropped the price on these guys, they are now $30 each plus shipping!

Still have plenty of these guys available and still currently keeping up with shipping them so long as the temperatures don't hit the extremes!

$30 each plus shipping! Please provide me a zip code if you want a quote of shipping prices. All shipments are only sent UPS Express only!

Still have plenty of these little guys available, around 60 left!

Asking $30 each plus shipping, offering discounts for those buying several.

Still have around 50 or so of these little guys! I would love to get these guys to new homes before my next group of larvae lose their gills.

All PMs have been answered for those who have replied in this thread.

As a quick update since getting messages if I still have any available! I have plenty available currently but due to the temperatures rising with the Summer months that I've held off on shipments until temperatures are around the 70s.

If anyone is in the tri-state area and is interested in purchasing some, I can arrange to meet up with your personally or meet half way as an option.

I will have more newts available coming into the Fall months, raising some larvae currently and will have plenty available in the coming months.

Update!

I had stopped shipping during the summer due to the extreme heat waves we had out here in the Northeast and temperatures just were not breaking enough that I could safely ship newts. With the heat breaking now that shipping will resume as of the 17th. I do have a few available (around 20ish left) right now that are my remaining efts while currently in the process of waiting for a bunch to morph.

Still going for $30 each with offering discounts for those getting a decent amount. Shipping is via UPS Express and prices can vary from $50 to $90 depending on your zip code. I will not ship postal nor priority with these guys sorry.
