• In case most of you have not noticed, I made changes to the donation amounts as well as the durations for all of the paid membership levels. Things are winding down here, and this seems to be the most prudent way to deal with the "end of life" period of this site.

    Contributor level members - $10 per 30 days
    Sponsors - Eliminated
    Benefactor level members - $25 per 30 days
    Endowment level members - $50 per 30 days

    On July 1, 2027, all paid memberships will be closed.

    On August 1, 2027, FaunaClassifieds will be terminated.

    Only change I expect that might take place is when I can get around to figuring out when the amount of money I would have to refund for the yearly paid memberships becomes less than the monthly expense of leasing my server, THAT date might be the termination date for the site.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Hey guys!

I am getting a Chinese fire belly newt! (Cynops orientalis) eft. I know they live primarily terrestrial thought most of their juvenile life so I was wondering if anyone knew any other pointers for setting up their tank. I wanted to have maybe two or three inches of water on 1/4 of the tank but am now maybe thinking that may be too much?!

I have a ten gallon aquarium and will be getting two newts.

Also, which live plant species would be best to put in the tank?
And what should I feed them as efts? I have frozen bloodworms and frozen brine shrimp already but I would like to give them a live option like a worm or something.
