In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Bad Guy Firecrested (the Valley reptile)

nope. ive emailed him and still heard nothing back. ive pretty much given up. are you still in contact with him?

I haven't heard from him since 7/20. Last I heard, he was about a week shy from getting his CDL (which would enable him to become employed). He was supposed to have started the job last week I believe (if he passed). I emailed yesterday to see what the status was with no response (usually get a reply within a day or so).

Has everyone contacted Eric as he requested and since he "forgot" sent some form of proof (paypal receipt, copy of cancelled check, etc) that they sent him the money?

I would do this and I would insist on a payback date that was within two weeks and not months away. If he has money to pay for a wedding, moving, etc..., then apparently, he has the funds to refund others (all excuses aside).

i keep getting the run around with him. he kept saying the money was on its way and then he stopped contact all together. it does no good to demand anything. theres already a bad guy thread up. what more can we really do?

I feel really bad for everyone here.

I had great success in my dealings with Eric.

I know that time, circumstances, etc. can change a person.

I hope Eric does the right thing.

I sent a refund request via Google Checkout as a reminder to him once this thread was started. He initially gave me a timeline in which I was comfortable with, but that time frame has now lapsed. I was hoping to hear from him last week regarding the status on his becoming gainfully employed, to no avail.

I had hoped Eric would have fixed this by now. Like Donna, I had great dealings with him in the past.

Eric, if you are reading this, fix this. You were one of the good guys, and I'd hate to see you change that. These people deserve a response and the problems solved.

ok, then seems like he's had sufficient time to get his act together? In my opinion he's had more than enough time?

If you agree then NOW is the time to hit in the pocketbook. It's been noted that he still has attended shows?

I would start putting up my evidence so that other buyers know to beware regardless of how many previously "good" dealings he's had. I would also check other avenues to retrieve my monies if the Google/Paypal timeline is expired.

I hate to say this, but I agree.

Hit him where it hurts. Maybe a flyer similar to the one Dand made regarding the Wises...to distribute at shows he attends??

I agree. I had a good experience with Eric, too. We did a trade a couple years ago. I really hope he makes this right.

Last email I received from Eric was on 8/22/11.

Unfortunately, he was supposedly 1 week from sending me a refund at that point and I have yet to receive said refund.
