In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I was offered an '03 F-4 HYPO in trade this weekend at Monroeville,Pa Show from Christopher Gilbert of Firelance Reptiles. He told me that this F-4 Hypo was produced by Steve of SDI Reptiles from his Christmas litter & he had no paperwork so,after the show, I contacted Steve at SDI because I wanted to verify the genetics because I had some reversations-mainly that the saddles were very nice butterfly saddles & all F-4 I have seen have very thin almost fineline saddles!! Steve & I had a rather lengthy conversation about his Christmas litter of Hypos & that the parents were an F-4 Hypo male(proven dominant) bred to a really nice normal Columbian female!! With those parents that makes the Hypo being sold by Chris Gilbert a F-1 not F-4 - it is a very clean F-1 but an F-1 none the else!! After my conversation w/ Steve I knew I wanted nothing to do w/ this possible trade!!
At the show,Chris offered the "F-4" Hypo to me for $2000!! Then later wanted to trade for prox $1450 in snakes from me('04 Ghost Boa & '04 het Anery Boa).Later I was told by another vendor- Chris told him about a trade he thought he was making for a Ghost boa & wanted to trade this other vendor the Ghost Boa for an '04 F-1 Hypo he had on the table for $600!!
I have NO IDEA what kind of games Chris is playing- But I would be very cautious of buying or trading for this supposed F-4 HYPO from Chris Gilbert!! This animal is being offered for sale on THIS site under the Boa section!!

Here is his ad just in case it dissapears which I think it might when he finds this thread about him. He tried trading me too a couple of months ago as well as at the Monroeville show. I'll post emails in next post.

Warning Level: 0 Yearling F4 Salmon female!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Born late '03 from an F3 Super Salmon sire to a F3 possible dominant salmon dam.
Asking $2000. or best offer.

Please contact me if you are interested, trades considered for '04 Coral Albino Females and Leopard Males!

AFTER I asked him how he knew it was a F4 without knowing who produced her I never heard back from him. Then 2 months later he shows up to show with it now marked $2000.00 Super Salmon (2 months ago was $1100.00) willing to trade me (again for an N. Brazilian). I declined & I told him no as after seeing his F4 the best I could say is that it was an F2 at best. He started to tell me about how you can't tell genetics while just looking at a Salmon. I guess he was wrong because I knew it wasn't an F4 & apparently I was correct. Nice try anyways

She was born in 2003, I am sorry if I miss typed before. Like I said
previously the picture I sent is of her in her dark phase, she gets very
light.
I took her to monroeville this past weekend, and you should have seen the
looks. I had the price at $1100, but no one had the funds.

I was talking to Tim as he was being offered the supposed F-4 at the show. I personally was not impressed with the animal and surely would have never considered the $2,000 he had clearly marked on the deli cup. I could see why he was interested in Tim's Ghost boa, I was looking at it myself.

I would not buy from a guy who does not know his name or where he comes from.

I would not buy form a guy who "changes" his name and where he comes from.

what a suprise. The F4 ad is gone. Here is another ad that is still up under Firelancereptiles but shows a name of Timothy Snyder from Toledo, Ohio instead of Pittsburg like the F4 ad. He also had the Rough Scale sand boas at the show. I could see someone changing location in profile but he changed name too. If someone can clear this up please do.
His ad that is still up

Warning Level: 0 Proven Rough Scaled Sand Boas

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a proven pair of Rough Scaled Sand Boas. They produced for me May 1st, 6 babies no slugs or stillborns.
One baby was a Hypo/Pastel.
Female is over 2ft. and male 18in.
Email for pics and info on pricing/trades/records.

I added a link to this thread to his 4 ads he had left on fauna yeasterday & "poof" he deleted them today. I've gotten some interesting emails about him.

Greetings all..
I do not have personal issues with Christopher Gilbert, but what I do know is that he introduced me to the worst piece of scum I have yet to deal with in this business, and that person has been the topic of a great deal of controversy lately.

I have had several personal dealings with Tim K and Chris P, and I can truly say that these gentlemen are some of the best in the business these days. They have my respect and my friendship. They also have great animals!!!

Happy Holidays to all!

I just wanted to post a "thumbs up" for Chris Gilbert. It sounds like some others have had some questionable dealings with him, however, my experience has been on a much more positive note. I acquired the pair of Rough scales from him back in early December, and Chris has been very pleasant to deal with. The snakes arrived well packaged and in great health. Even after almost 2 months since the transaction was completed, Chris still checks in frequently to see how the pair is doing and to see if I have any questions for him. They are doing very well to this point, and they even bred for me a couple of weeks ago :D Anyway, just wanted to share my experiences.
