Baltimore Bees
Hello all!
Sorry for the huge post. It's hard for me to get on here to post stuff since the move, we now have to use an aircard since there no Comcast, Verizon, etc. I can post from my phone but the pictures aren't as high of a quality as I would like and it's just a hassle. Anyway...
I was waiting for them to shed before posting them. There was 8 eggs from normal mom, Pebbles. 1 normal died right after hatching (it laid it's head on the bottom of the tote and drowned, we have since corrected the problem) but 7 beautiful little babies from a Lesser Platinum daddy. We haven't sexed them but there's 2 normals and 5 Lesser babies, all healthy. Hopefully they will start eating soon. I have one more to post once it sheds, it's got a really neat pattern!
Second clutch was from Wanda a normal female and Bart our 'dinker' Bumble Bee. We lost the only Bumble Bee in the 8 egg clutch right before they hatched! It had some mold on it so I think that may have been what did it in. Very upsetting as this baby seemed to have his daddy's crazy pattern but it died before hatching and was the only one so only more breeding will tell. Or I could just be imagining things
I'm still going to post the little guy with the Mom and Dad. I'll post pictures of the babies once they fully emerge which should be by tomorrow evening lol
The cuties
Mom, Wanda
Dad, Bartlebee
Poor little baby Bee
We have one last clutch too that should be hatching in about a week from a PH Axanthic x Axanthic/Piebald breeding as well as a few others. Lastly here's two pictures of the chameleon piebald, Bolt. I was able to somewhat capture his change.
