    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello, all. I've looked this up in BOI but haven't seen anything of it very recently, and it always seems that people who are upset with something are more likely to leave a review than people who are pleased. So, has anyone had a GOOD experience with FCR? I ordered a Flapneck from them after reading some good reviews. Then... i found all of the bad ones. I'm beginning to get very nervous. If i have an issue, I've heard he's very hard to get a hold of. Some complained about his reptiles arriving DOA because he doesn't ship Fed-Ex, like he states he does. But i live in Florida, where he is based. So hopefully there wont be any issues there. Just looking to see if people have had good experiences with him to make myself feel a little better... Thanks.

I couldn't find any good reviews that went into detail. But that doesn't mean your order will be DOA. Don't worry yourself over it too much until you get it, doing that only makes everything worse. Most of us have dealt with a bad dealer, if this turns out to be the case, learn from it. Hopefully everything works out but is really best to avoid him (Nick Mole) and his company.

Hopefully you paid with a credit card so that you can go to your credit card company just in case it doesn't work out.
I suspect that the reason there are not a lot of recent reviews is that people read the existing reviews and decided not to risk a transaction with First Choice Reptiles.

I bought some snakes from them a couple of years ago. The hardest part was I didn't want to order online. I wanted to talk to an actual warm body, which was difficult. A few days of calling and emailing before anyone called me which had me a bit baffled. Finally got a person on the phone. I knew the snakes were freshly imported wild caught. The snakes arrived fine. They still had live mites on them (which I wasn't thrilled about but any new animals get treated and qt'ed anyway). It wasn't a great transaction and it wasn't an awful one.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I did order with a card, through PayPal. And I MOST CERTAINLY will be taking video of the unboxing process. One thing that is shady... There is no phone number on his website... I found one here on the forums. Hopefully I won't have to call.

I will be documenting everything in the video. Time of package arrival, time of opening, the fact that the box has not been opened yet, the temperature outside, etc.

Order mite spray and Reptile Relief if you don't have any on-hand. Better to have it and not need it...

That's another thing I've heard. But I wouldn't let that slide if that's the case. How are people with so many bad cases still able to do business on the Internet?

I mean, you have to have a business license to legally sell anything. So.. He must still have his business license or surely he would've been shut down by now.
Actually you do not. Licenses are required to do business in certain heavily-regulated industries, e.g. firearms or pharmaceuticals, but otherwise you can operate as a sole proprietor and sell just about anything you want online.

Check out the BOI. There are a ton of evil sellers out there with terrible reputations. That's one of the reasons why the BOI is here, an ounce of prevention and all that.
