    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

First egg, looks very odd.

My female gecko layed her first clutch of eggs, well one egg and it looks very odd. She layed it in her calcium dish and it was dry by the time I got to it.
It has an odd yellow substance on it, it kind of looks like it's part of the egg.

I put in the incubator but I doubt it's going to be viable. Has anybody seen anything like this before?

That’s definitely an infertile egg. When a female lays outside the laying tub it’s usually a good indication on the eggs fertility. A good egg will be nice and round, firm and white as can be. Sorry it’s not good and good luck with future eggs!

I feel a lot better knowning it's an infertile egg and it's not bad because I didn't give her enough calcium or something like that.
 
It's very common for their very first clutch ever, to be infertile. It's like a test run or something :) Not anything you did wrong at all.
