    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

first lock for me

Congrats on getting them started, and best of luck with the results!!

I'm thinking Jerry's got a good idea here. My first lock of the season, also managed to knock over their water bowl in the process. lol

I've had water bowls knocked over in the first 5 minutes of pairing, only to have to remove both snakes to clean up the mess.
I don't mind some water spillage and I see females peeing/scenting all over the whole tub before settling down, but a whole bowl of water spilling means they could be laying in water for days, not acceptable to me.
They won't miss their water bowl for the 2-3 days that they are breeding.

The picture is pretty funny Shane, I got a good laugh seeing them sitting on the water bowl being all intimate :thumbsup:

i learned from that mistake with the water bowls. I have 2x2 inch Velcro holding down the water bowls. I got really tired of cleaning the cage and going back 4 hours later only to find them in a soaked bin. so far i have had no issues with water bowls.

That's a great way to keep them in place, well except for the really big girls would still probably rip the bowl up if they so desired :rofl:

I move the water bowls over the hot spots during the shed period, so velcroing them down wouldn't work for me :(
