    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have always loved reptiles but was never allowed to have them in my house. Now that my kids are a little older and I can better afford it I bought a baby bearded dragon and I fell in love. He/she is beautiful and is named blaze. He is giving me a hard time eating. Only eats when I'm out of the room and won't even take them from the tweezers. I like to feed one at a time cuz I don't want any hiding in there when his feeding time is over. Is this the wrong way to approach it?

Use a shallow glass bowl and put a few Dubia in it. He is a baby,so he needs time to adjust. Don't worry he won't eat in front of you. He will after time.

I have a full grown boa that will not eat in front of me. She will take it and slide to the back of her cage to eat. If I stare at her,she will leave it and come to the front and stare at me. Lol. At least it will eat.

Good luck

Hello and welcome! I have almost no experience with Beardies, so can't help you there. Good luck with getting him eating though!

Hi Krystle, not unusual for baby beardies to want to eat in privacy.it will change as it grows and its appetite changes and it will start diving into its food dish. dont worry as long as it is eating.

welcome to Fauna!

Thank you guys so much! I really appreciate it. Another question I have is how long should I leave him alone without picking him up for him to get used to his new home?

Not long,maybe 2-3 days. after all it needs to get used to you handling it.make sure its feeding before you start to handle it.

If you have more questions start a new thread in the bearded dragon discussion forum.you will get all the answers you need there.:)
