    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

first time snake??

does anyone have any recamendations of a good first snake that stay relativly small and is docile and would make a good first snake? also where can i get one i was thinking of a corn snake, is this a good choice??
 
I was figuring someone with more knowledge of corn snakes than I would answer, but I'll give it a shot...

Corn snakes are considered excellent beginner snakes. Here is a care sheet from NERD. I know that there are many other good care sheets out there as well as a couple of good old-fashioned books. If you are going to buy online, I would suggest looking at Rich Zuchowski's site: http://www.serpenco.com.

Another excellent (and commonly recommended) first snake is a Rosy Boa. Here is a care sheet on them and you can find a link to a photo gallery at the bottom of that page.

Both of these snakes can be bought rather inexpensively, both are considered easy to care for, both are typically very docile. Hopefully the links will provide you with a good start on gathering information!
