Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Are you a psychic or did you read a complaint I posted elsewhere on the web? She in fact DID threaten me. And generally treated me in an abusive manner once it was clear we had a difference of opinion. I was contending that I should be shipped the correct animal, and she was contending that, because I drove there to pick it up, I should have to drive there to fetch a replacement (I drove two hours to pick up the order and it was wrong... a new one would have to be sent from their 'other location' in Miami, which I have a sneaking suspicion is simply DTS and they are drop shipping).

A small disagreement, but 'customer service' (lonna) let things get out of hand fast.

You have taken this far beyond what this experience should have been. Although the reptiles are not what we expected (based on your web site pictures),my kids love them and
I have moved on. I have learned a lesson in this experience and I hope you have too.

This is not the place to make jokes about a company because real customers and potential customers come to these forums to inquire about a company before buying from them and the posts are permanent so making "jokes" is unacceptable. It can hurt a company and the integrity of the BOI making false claims.

Maybe the smell of troll is being overpowered by the fact I can barely read what you are typing.

This entire situation is insane, and all of the FH threads become a huge circus. Staying away like my life depended on it.
 
So has everyone figured out that its Sam of Backwater Reptiles who has been A) posting fake reviews about orders from his own company and B) posting fake bad guy threads about Florida Herps as a smear campaign?
The funny thing about all this is that Backwater is themselves a dropshipepr, while Florida Herp has four very large buildings and facilities stocked with animals, and its owned by a vet. For all anybody knows, Sam of Backwater Reptiles is drop shipping off his website from a hotel.
Gee I wonder who I would order from if i had to choose.
 
Sorry to ressurect all this, but a few weeks back i was perusing the backwater website and almost made an order...but then I decided to look into them more closely before I made the same mistake with I did with Reptile City.
