In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I purchased a male tangerine enigma leopard gecko, female bell albino leopard gecko, and a female African Fat Tail from Fort Wayne Reptiles on April 22nd.

The male was severely underweight, but at two months old I thought it was just from improper care. They told me up front that they "rescued" the females from a local pet store, had them housed together, and they both had severe MBD, but that was it.

I brought them all home, got them all set up, and waited.
Waited.
And waited some more.

The male enigma appears to never eat. Or he misses food. Hardly poos because he doesn't eat. I start thinking something is seriously wrong.
The African Fat Tail doesn't eat. Barely moves around her home. I never see her moving or going after food; I never counted, but I don't think she's eaten in my care.
The bell albino is active, will chase food, but is aggressive in other means. The way her arms are bent, I think she not only has MBD, but her front legs were broken at some point.

I surrendered the male enigma to B&B Reptile Rescue And Education on Monday. They called me about two hours later to let me know that they had to surrender him to their vet, because he has all symptoms of crypto. This tiny, underweight, little guy could kill all of their rescues.

I am now wondering if the African Fat Tail and the bell albino also have crypto. We're awaiting vet results.

Do not buy from them. They sell sick animals.

(If I can get photobucket to cooperate, I'll post pictures of all of them.)

This is all the info any one needs to say no thanks, I'll look else where. If some one deals in junk, expect that is what you'll recieve.

I was expecting improper care, I wasn't expecting something highly contagious.

The females were housed together at the pet shop they were "rescued" from is what I meant. =/ Sorry.

Sorry about the loss. Hopefully a lessoned learned. So many dealers out there like this.

Yeah, it's a live and learn situation unfortunately. He was so pretty, too. =/ Ah well.

Maybe someone else can benefit from my mistake. =)
