    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Forum name contest!!!!

Because, Seamus, this forum gets the highest amount of traffic, by far then any 100 other forums on this site. I was asked to put this here, and since it is helping ME and this site, that is what I did. I wouldn't have thought that this would be difficult for anyone to figure out.

After all the threads and topics that you (and the moderator team) have moved (and rightly so) because they weren't appropriate topics for the BOI and weren't about specific individuals or businesses and business transactions? Actually... that was difficult to figure out. Given the level of integrity you've shown in the past it didn't once occur to me that you would apply all of your rules in a fair and even handed manner with the addendum that your personal interests can cause an immediate spot-violation of the standards that you have set up.

Seamus, the new forum itself will be a sub-forum of the BOI and I will be the moderator. It made sense to have the contest here.

Still REALLY doesn't make sense based on THAT reasoning Lucille. Logically it would go in the feedback forum, the one for the discussion about site related issues. It's right in the description. I can accept Rich's explaination (although I'm kind of surprised given his stance on such matters in the past, this seems like a complete turnaround) but yours is simply absurd. This is NOT the most logical forum if the topic is considered, only when traffic is.

hey seamus, this is webslaves site and he can put anything where he wants to put it. do you pay the bills here or just get all menstral when webslave decides to put a thread where he wants it since he owns and operates this site? ... i dont see you adding, just throwing a temper tantrum because YOU think this thread is in the wrong place

I think this is a wonderful idea! Course there will always be the naysayers in anything, but then, FC gives them that freedom too

That's almost EXACTLY what a lot of KS supporters said about Barringer when he was banning people left and right. Rich had always maintained that the rules were equally applicable to everyone and abided by them himself in the past. Just weird to see him doing something other than that.

This is nothing like Barringer, there have been times when something BENEFITS the overall community that it has been placed on BIO that is not directly related to good guy/bad guy post... note the key words there,
benefits
community and that is what BOI is about

I am sure of that as Webslave gave me permission once to make a post about inquiry of peoples business/ethics in a certain situation.. and that ended up being a reference for later post of good guy/bad guys.

It's not a god like figure commanding from the mountain top "my way or the highway" it's people caring about someplace they utilize and that does contribute to the well-being of the community. Insulting to compare the two.

Put a sock in it and sit back and feel the love for once...
 
well ya know what seamus if you don't like it. do not sit around being a pain in the royal buttocks... quit your, vomiting of words, and go somewhere else; where they put up with your stink pickles... but of course, this is one of the only sitee you have not been banned from...odd

The winner of the contest for the new forum is ichirofanatic, aka Rob Dufek!!
This was an extremely difficult decision as there were so many good names to choose from. Some were funny, some were thoughtful, all were wonderful.

There was a later copy and several variations on the name Webslave chose but we decided to award the points to the first publisher of the name who was Rob. ((((((((((((Rob)))))))))))))))))))

Awesome!! I really like the simplicity of "the fauna fund", and it's catchy, too!
I think everyone had a lot of fun thinking up names for the new forum.... I know I had a blast!
