Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

No I did not, and I got other people asking if I had as well, but nobody saying they had a successful transaction with him.

If you can provide details on what happened as well as the contact information you have for him, it may help prevent it from happening to others. Both accounts are currently banned, but he's likely to continue trying or is linked in other places.
 
Well he had an Egyptian uromastyx for sale for $180.00. I inquired to see if it was still available and he messaged me privately on here requesting my phone number to call/text me.... He tried to call me from 239-384-7131 but I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number... No message was left but then I get a text from 219-649-0281... He gave me what was supposedly his PayPal account (which I will not post on here because it turns out it's not his account... It's someone else's that he gave me to pay for merchandise he wanted to buy from them) I made the payment of $180 and he was supposed to mail the uromastyx Monday.. Well Monday rolls around and no message with a tracking number is sent... I send him another message via text and on here and nothing... So I sent yet again another message threatening to file a claim to get my money back and he responds promising to send me the tracking info this morning when he finally mails the lizard... Well it's about 1 pm today and still nothing so I do a final threat to reclaim my money and he says fed ex is really slow and he'll call with the tracking number as soon as she is picked up... I message him back about 15 mins later to tell him to text and not call because I don't get great service at work... He responds that they had already tried to call but they would text later... He didn't try to call because my phone never rang... And if he already called why couldn't he immediately text??? Anyways... Needless to say I got screwed.... I filed a complain with PayPal and that's how I found out that he had used my money to pay for some motor from someone else because I had to list the complaint as not receiving the merchandise from the seller and the owner of the PayPal account messaged me saying he mailed the merchandise to a Lamar Clays in Moorehead MS... So hopefully I can get my money back but I won't hold my breath.... And next time I'll listen to my gut instincts and not trust people so much...
 
This was the paypal address he gave me. I inquired on an animal and gave me his payment info immediately. I asked for more pics he texted them to me. I requested he add something into the picture as he said he was actively taking them like a coin beside the animal. I requested a quarter this way you can tell they are taking the pic. He said no problem and moved on never to be heard from again. The number he used to text is 219-649-0281. Its a internet number like all the others. The paypal address is below, these scammers are getting worse.

He basically said the same crap to me... That's someone else's PayPal account and it's different than the one he gave me... Same texting phone number though

Paid to the verified paypal account. Turns out its a Mr. Baughman, not Harris.

Baughman is shipping out of Rio, IL.

He shipped to a Mr. Lamar Clays in Moorhead, MS.

Waiting to hear back about this from Paypal..

Too many BS advertisers.
 
That's the same person that the Mr. Desiderio shipped to and same address... Did it say what this person shipped to them?
 
I don't use PP but I thought that if the seller doesn't ship to the payer's verified address then it was fairly easy for the buyer to get the money pulled back?
 
Well I'm skeptical about the person that contacted me that supposedly shipped to Lamar clays because he sent me a picture of the PayPal payment he received and it said on it clear as day my name, address and what the payment was for which was not some kind of motor so why would that have not alerted this person that it was a scam if they were in fact not a part of the scam themselves??
 
This guy Got us too. Luckily the guy at the R/C car part place was a good guy and contacted us. Our Papal address and the PO box he gave them didnt match so a red flag went off there. Other wise I would have been out over $500 For Iguanas that did not exist. My wife talked to him and sounded like a nice guy. He must have really done his research, or he's really one of us, 'cuz he did know what he was talking about. So really watch out, if it looks to good to be true it probably is.
 
Strange experience with cornsnakes29

Responding to an add for 2 pancake tortoises' for sale for $370.00 shipped posted by cornsnakes29. I asked several questions through the pm. The person responded quickly and answered questions regarding diet, health and specific questions regarding scutes and appearances. I asked for pics, which were sent to my email. But, interestingly the return email was from " Charles Wash" at [email protected]. I didn't think too much of it. I've seen people use different names in these classifieds. After receiving numerous pics and more correspondences and such a great price I sent the money to PayPal. But it was sent to another name... [email protected]. Ok, kinda strange. He told me he would get them out tomorrow, which was a Thursday to Be delivered on Friday. He sent me a ups tracking number. Early the next morning I used the number to track, although they were supposed to be here in New Mexico with me, tracking came back it was in Georgia. I contacted him with email. He responded quickly that he had sent the wrong info to me and that he would get the correct fed ex tracking number back to me immediately. I was very concerned for the health and safety of the animals as it was very hot here at that time. I did not hear from him after that. I frantically called fedex to see if they could track a package destined for me without a tracking number. I was told that no packages or tracking number to my address were created. Needless to say, I never heard from him again. The add for the tortoises' was gone from classifieds. Interestingly the first tracking ups tracking number had an originating location as California. Cornsnakes29 had Florida as his location. All kinds of weirdness. I thought an imposter was using his profile somehow. I see now that he his banned. Don't really know what happened, but I'm out the money I sent. I hope this helps someone. William shawn taylor

There is a reason that full names and accurate locations are required on this site...rather than shrugging it off, you should have reported the discrepancy to the moderation team.
Of course, 3 different names/emails should have been enough to clue you in to the fact that there was something very wrong with that deal
