For the first page or two of this thread, I felt bad for your loss.
Then, it has unfolded to the point of you trying to protect the person who has clearly scammed you and it doesn't look good for either one of you anymore.
First, you were scammed by a known scammer. This is abundantly clear to everyone, it seems, except YOU. Sorry, but it happens, especially when one is caught up in the excitement of finding something they want. It is not always easy to slow down and investigate a person, and there is sometimes a tendency to 'overlook' questionable reviews and/or reddish flags that are often raised in transactions.
As the thread goes on and more facts become public, we see it is a sure thing that you were set up, start to finish, and there never was any intention of shipping you anything at all.
It is unfortunate, and I'm sure you don't feel real smart about the whole thing, but, it's really time to admit that you fell for it and to get over that part.
There is a saying: "Fool me once, shame on you, but fool me twice, shame on me."
You have been fooled once, and it is the scammer's fault.
As you defend your ripoff artist, and continue this 'misunderstanding' denial routine, it becomes clear you are being fooled
again. This is YOUR fault. You know what you are dealing with, or should by now, and to believe even one word from Connor is a serious mistake.
You ask for people to back off. You want the thread closed. AFTER you have come here seeking assistance, and you do it because you are falling for the scam AGAIN. So everyone here is supposed to go along with this delusion? As posted above, you are unwittingly being blackmailed, and so scammed again, by the same person who burned you first time. Time to awaken.
Your own self serving request/demand/threat to have people back off here defeats the purposes of the BOI section and damages your own credibility.
The BOI serves numerous purposes:
It serves to pressure "casual" scammers to make good on their misdeeds. I have seen this happen numerous times and it might have happened for you too, had you not folded and gone for Scam Phase II.
It shows scammers that there is very little anonymity in the web and may discourage them to a certain extent. Searching Google at this time for
Connor McGraw is now bringing up these threads. Good, makes it easier for the next victim to avoid the next scam.
It serves as permanent record and warning to people just like YOU, in hopes they will see this before they send animals or money to a known scammer. Had you searched FaunaClassifieds first, you would have seen another thread(s) on his scams, and perhaps you might have reconsidered sending him anything of value.
Finally, and especially, it tends to bring the truth to light, a process that should not be halted.
Yet, you want the thread deleted, which would serve ONLY to protect the scammer, ONLY for your perceived benefit, which obviously screws everyone else.
If we could suspend reality for a few minutes and actually believe that Conner will make good on the deal if you can make us leave him alone, it's just a self serving thing for you. You become an enabler (study that term in school too?) and the others who have been ripped off, and the others are are going to get ripped off, will suffer for your benefit. I'd suggest it is a disservice to all concerned for you to even ask us to back off. Man up, stand behind your words, persecute the scammer, if for no other reason than to prevent him from scamming others like yourself.
Unfortunately/fortunately, we cannot suspend reality, and the facts are here. I'd bet that
you are the
only one reading this thread, Connor included, that actually believes that Conner's promise to make things right will be honored.
Seriously, do you really believe that? I guess you'd like to, but at over three times your time here on earth, I've seen enough to not believe one word of it. In fact, I've seen enough in this thread to not believe one word of it.
Until Conner makes good on this deal (and some others), he is still a common criminal to anyone who can read. It's not all about you, which is exactly why this thread and your statements must stand. If you do a little (belated) research, you'll see others with losses as big or bigger than yours. To hide your bad experience, however embarrassing and for whatever reason, serves only to hide the truth and is thus a disservice to everyone else.
