    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Chris trust me I agree with you 100% if it sounded as though I didnt, I apoligize. Ive watched Fred do this for years, excuse after excuse, fire and run. Youve hit the nail on the head about him all along.
Jason, the deceased were not from the east. Fred's family is from the east, but were not talking about Fred's family here. The deceased were from Abaco Island in the Bahamas, which is a fact that Fred obviously was unaware of when he lied to Landon.

Thank you I do rember reading that somewhere now. I had forgotten all about that. Did any of the articles specifically say the funeral was in the islands? I am just asking because its one more nail to drive in. Your whole reponse to Pauls post two or three posts back from this one is completly on the money!!!!

Ive never heard of it but the aggresion you spoke of is extremly common when you mix sexes. He either doesnt have the slightest clue how to tell males from females or he knowingly shipped you a male hoping you would not catch it till after all this passed. He needed you and Landon to say "Hey we got our animals and their great Fred isnt such a bad guy after all" Personally I believe the latter! Had you not caught it for another month this thread would have long since died and maybe you would have but I doubt you wouldve taken the time to rehash all this over a miss sexed snake. IMO thats what he was hoping for. When you have dealt with colubrids as long as he has you shouldnt even need probs to tell kings apart, their rather obvious to the naked trained eye.
 
Believe me Ann, the last thing I want to do is rain on your parade, but that's just more "fish stories" coming from the pro of "fish stories" himself. I think it's pathetic that he continues to prey on your compashion with his tales. First of all, Most of Fred's snakes are skinny, don't grow and don't breed. As much as I would LOVE to surrender the source of that information, I've painfully been sworn to secrecy(lucky for you Fred). I will say that this info came straight out of the mouth of one of Fred's esteemed colleagues! I have my own theory as to why Fred's snakes experience so much trouble in his care and it's only OPINION. I know that Fred has a reputation for cleaning his cages EVERY time his snakes poop. The problem is, he uses bleech every time (he has bragged about this in the past). I can't begin to imagine the detrimental affects this might have on a snake that is constantly breathing in the fumes of bleech. Imagine being stuck in a telephone booth that has just been soaked in bleech...and you only have one lung!

Lastly, Fred knew exactly what he was sending you. How is it that you suspected right away just by looking at the snake that it was a male, yet a person with Fred's reputation and experience didn't?

Maybe this snake really is a 1999 even though it looks like a 2001. It is very small for a CA King that is supposed to be several years old. But I must admit that he is very alert, his eyes are bright and clear and he appears to have shed recently. He has a wondeful disposition. But, darn those hemipenes! :laugh:

I wish that I could also say, without reservation, that is great that Fred contacted you and stated his honorable intention to refund your money, but due to Fred's track record I cannot. It is certainly better that nothing though and maybe Fred really has taken the first baby step in trying to stand up and fly straight. We'll see. I'm curious to know if he apologized in that emeil, or was he too pissed at you to do at least that? Most important though, was he excruciatingly precise in telling you exactly when the refund will arrive, the way he is when instructing his buyers of his requirements for shipping postal money orders to him? Fred, you may come out looking pretty good here if you JUST DO IT WITHOUT DELAY. Borrow the money if you have to and ship it express within the next couple of days. You might gain a little credibility. Think about how wrong you've been and consider making a sincere apology to John, AFTER he has his money in his hands. By contacting John with your email, you've only taken the first of many many steps that you need to EARN any credibility. You've already dragged John through the dirt for ALMOST A YEAR with your INTENTIONS. At this point your INTENTION doesn't mean very much so please Fred JUST DO IT - NOW!

Ann, you brought up the point of whether or not the snakes that Fred sold Landon's may be on the thin side. Unfortunately, we'll probably never find out. Landon, in a very strange irony, is a staunch defender of Fred's reputation. I don't think he will volunteer that information even though it may reveal the cold hard truth about the EXTENT of Fred's "bad guy" behavior. We'll see.

Hello all,

My snake is fine - girth seems commensurate with length. He ate yesterday and had shed the deay before.

No, I am not a staunch defender of Fred's rep, but what I am is regretful that my post, which was simply to get satisfaction, has led to every aspect of Fred's life being placed under a microscope and then torched repeatedly to prove he is wrong, when the very fact of his not shipping me (and apparently others) proves the point in my opinion. That's all I will say on that - I have said too much about that already (re: warnings)

Surely you've read other threads on this board. Landon there is no doubt in my mind that you knew exactly what the ramifications of your post would be! Let me remind you that YOU were the one to bring details such as the plane crash and other excuses into view (thus placing them under a microscope as this board so requires PROOF) in your very first post here. Your exact words were, and I quote, "he has pled death in the family, having to move, having one of his snakes die, and a plethora of other issues". And let's not forget this quote either from your very first post..."beware of doing business with man. He will promise you the world and not deliver".

Allow me to explain something here. My initial comments here were forced to be placed under a microscope Landon. Remember the hounding I got. "Where's your proof Chris...you need proof Chris...show us the proof Chris! Perhaps you should re-read your own two posts at the bottom of page seven of this thread where you yourself said, and again I quote, "Mr. Ken,where is YOUR proof?". Oh, and my personal favorite, Landon..."As I asked in my last post, you made the accusation, where's the proof? PUT UP OR SHUT UP MR. KEN!!!"

I guess the message here is, be careful what you wish for, ya' just might get it.

I should stay out of this, but this really bugs me. Did anyone else notice this? We are supposed to cut Fred some slack because he is having some “very serious issues in his life” and “The man is barely surviving!!!” (pg 31 near the top) But in Nov. 2002, how did he display his Humanity and kind nature? It bothered me enough to go back and find the quotes. I don’t know how to use the Quote button, so I have cut and pasted, but I have referenced which page my quotes came from.

E-mail from Mr. Skipper to Mr. Albury dated Nov. 2, 2002. This an cut from that e-mail, you can find it about half way down on page 17.

“My daughter has health problems and I can't afford the doctor bills (they all want cash up front). You know the old saying - family comes first- and mine does come first. I have been wholesaling my animals out and doing whatever else I can in order to get my daughter the best care I can. So Fred to be short, simple and to the point I think you have been given plenty of time, I desperately need and want my money back and I really do not care what you are going to have to sell, beg, or borrow in order to get it back to me.”

But he did not return ANY of mr. Skippers money, instead ran this add on Nov. 26, 2002 (24 days later) trying to purchase a snake, so obviously he had SOME cash, even if it was not ALL of mr. Skippers Money. I found this on page 30, close to the bottom.

“I am looking for an ADULT FEMALE(If possible) Chocolate Cal. King. This bloodline of Cal Kings was made popular by the late Lloyd Lemke, and is distinquished by its chocolate color, lack of white or yellow bands and chocolate ventral coloration. Reg BROWN Cal Kings arent what I am looking for, this snake is distinct in that it for the most part lacks the bands found on most california kingsnakes. For a better idea, think of a BROWN Nigritis(Black Mexican King)

The guy crys wolf all the time and when someone else is in need whats he do? Ignore them, not repsond to emails etc etc when he has $600 of their money that he has had for several months. I dont know maybe he got so used to crying wolf when there really wasnt any problem that he had a hard time believing John when he was having problems. And without going into details Brandon there are others out there he owes money to. Trust me it could happen to you so if I was you I would make 100% sure you get your animals when you hand him the cash.
 
Oooh, good eye Jason! I missed that. How provocative. Thanks for pointing that out. That's definately relevant to the credibility of that post. I knew there was something fishy about it.

Just my opinion.

I hate admiting when I was wrong... so I won't.

I still feel that the conduct of those who decided to inflame this thread to the proportions it has reached were and continue to be inappropriate, the manner in which the issues have been approached is reprehensible regardless of the stated "good intentions" which still ring so hollowly as being vengeful retribution for agruments on an internet forum.

I've read this thread... the whole bloody thing, several times over, nothing *new* has really been said in the last few pages, Jason keeps reposting the same quote, Chris and Al keep repeating essentially the same tired rhetoric and Landon continues to make a good point in the wrong manner.

Fred's credibility is shot.

Fred's business reputation is shot.

Most if not everyone who reads this will think that he lied about the plane thing which is a pretty scummy thing to do.

There are some people who resolved issues, there are some people who haven't, there are some people who got something in between that wasn't satisfactory.

Everything that needs to be said has been said, there is no real point in further additions to this topic, really.

it was obviously a great experience when when you personally dealt with Fred. However, you live in close proximity to Fred and therefore your situation isn't comparable to Landon, Ann and John. I'd like to see if your high regard for Fred's honesty and your claim that you'd "buy from him again IN A HEARTBEAT" might change AFTER you read the emails between Landon, Ann, John, and Fred. Also, I'd like to know the details of your dealings with Fred that cause you to endorse him here with such high regard. How about some proof? And, finally, would you recommend that someone, say from the east coast, buy from Fred "IN A HEARTBEAT"? After all this is the issue here.

No one needs for you to admit you were wrong. Everyone knows you were wrong, and I'm pretty sure no one suspected that you would be the type to admit it.

Having said that, Am I reading your post correctly? Are you insinuating that the whole plane crash story is true??? This is the reason why this thread goes on. As long as people like yourself try to compromise the veracity of my posts regarding that issue, you are forcing me to further defend myself in an effort to relay the truth to those who need it. You all wanted proof...I gave it. I believe the evidence I provided is overwhelming. If it isn't good enough for you, perhaps I should keep trying to prove it to your liking thus digging up more dirt on Fred...nah. I think you stand alone here. Enough said!
