This is in response to a post that was submitted by posts by both Landon Johnson and Ann McCabemiles less than 5 days ago.
In all honesty BOTH these individuals are telling the truth. I owe Landon 1.1 Western Hognose, which he paid for in full, and which resisted feeding the first 4 months of their life. He has contacted me numerous times and I have not been prompt in returning emails. I had offered him another snake to replace this pair with, when the female passed away with no real reason. He said this snake was acceptable but I never contacted him back to ship it to him. The only complain I will offer to this whole thing is that EARLY on in this process, Landon complained voiceferously to a friend of his Chris Ken, who went on to demean me and put me down on the forums as best he could, with Landons blessing. Landon pretended to not have sanctioned this activity, which I have NEVER believed and it made me completely unmotivated to make him or his order a priority. NEVERTHELESS, what Landon says here is TRUE, I do owe him two hognose snakes(Neonates), and he has tried to contact me about this repeatedly, with the person that dropped the bal in this situation being ME. This is uncharacteristic of me, as I have more SATISFIED customers than dissatisifed, but I did not do what was right in this situation.
In Ann McCabemiles case, I plan to ship her snake out when I ship a set of other snakes out at the same time. She also tried to contact me, and I didnt respond. Again, in this case I dropped the ball and it was NOT her fault. She will receive her snake shortly. I appreciate the fact that she did not join in the fray to post her email transmission to me and mine to her. The fault in this case lies with ME and not with HER. Again, this is behaviour is uncharacteristic of me. I have in the past prided myself with selling healthy, captive bred, well represented snakes, from either my own breeding stock or animals that have been in my collection for along period of time. Mite free and parasite free. with professional shipping practices. I will continue to do so in the future, but in BOTH these cases I have fallen WOEFULLY short of my own standards in the way I treated both these customers.
It is a shame that people I HAVE sold snakes to in the last year ,who are delighted with their purchases, dont post here.
Ive sold albino and het for albino boas(Adult) Adult female suriname, Hypo stillwater Bullsnakes..all without a hitch to the sale.
But in both these cases I failed and owe both of these individuals both an apology and delivery of what they ordered.
I am sure that there are those that are here that will use this occasion to demean and discredit me. Truly the only people that need to be appeased here are Landon and Ann. And they will be.

You know, it doesn't make Fred right for witholding Landon's snake and/or money for all this time, but it is extremely difficult to want to do the right thing for someone that you believe is poking a stick in your eye.
Landon said that he never put Chris Kennard up to attacking Fred. Fred said that he did not/does not believe Landon. So what do we see on this thread, which suggests an end to a long standing problem??? Chris Kennard Comes on here for his first post and attacks Fred!!! What are the odds of that, considering that Fred is not a frequent FC poster?!?!?
I have to say that it seems as though Chris registered a few days ago, waited for the beginning of this thread alone, and then jumped on Fred as soon as he made an appearance! THAT, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, seems VERY suspicious in my book!

These people paid for animals and never got them, they only got excuses. Over 1 year for animals that were to be shipped "in a few weeks" is outright sad.
I feel that monies should have been refunded to both parties months ago.
I hold sellers to thier word when they tell me the animals will be shipped. If more than a month goes by, I already start to get nervous. I wouldnt have even waited this long to post, regardless of Freds excuses.

I have no qualms personally with Fred. But after seeing this thread, it seems as though his business will no longer be booming. I do not care what the reasons are.......ONE YEAR???? Thats just plain ridiculous. I don't care about the he said this or that part of the situation, just the facts. While Fred did come on here and admit he was wrong......does that exclude him from responsibility for his wrong-doings?? Hell, if that was the case, we'd have empty jails and murderers walking around free. For every action there is a consequence. I don't see the consequences being good for Mr. Albury.

You can see some of them on KJ's "the pituophis page". I am shocked that you are all falling for The con. Furthermore, if Landon is reading this, why not show the nasty e-mail you sent me back when Fred was beating you out of that deal? In all my years, I've never seen so many gullible and naive people get manipulated like this. It's amazing!

I agree 100% and have changed my thoughts on Fred after he seemed to have no problem admitting fault and assured every reader of this board that he will make things right.
I am so happy to see someone that can make a mistake, and recover from it, bettering themselves. We all know that everybody makes mistakes. Even though I still think a year is very excessive, It is great to see that the matter will be taken care of.

I had a minor spat with Fred before, and I am not standing inline to be his best friend, But I will say this again, HONESTY IMPRESSES ME.

Those people were NO relation to Fred whatsoever. As a matter of fact, Fred originally told Landon on a PUBLIC forum that it was the death of "a" brother. Now he claims "a" "step" brother. Apparently he forgot to read the rest of the article. There were three Alburys on that flight, two of which were brothers! Hmmm, how provocative. The other was the daughter of one of the brothers. No mention of three Alburys in Freds fish story. Just the one brother...oops...I mean "step" brother. As far as the "tale" of the delivery bust, there's enough loopholes in that story to figure it out for yourself. I must admit, my attempt to enlighten anyone here is obviously futile. Fred is way more clever than I gave him credit for. My hats off to the con-man. The apology thing was incredibly crafty! You people deserve each other.

It seems that the proof will be in the "pudding" so to speak...Fred has admitted fault and says he will make it right...Landon, you have been more than patient...I believe Fred will honor his commitment to you...
Fred it is time to make this right...You will lose customers over this if you don't...It is just good business sense to do so as soon as possible...
Having said that, I have always found Fred to be honest and forthright...This is NOT a common behavior from him...He does not "scam" people(nor do ANY of the herpers I have dealt with)...However, Fred does seem to antagonize people with his honesty when he posts on forums...I have never been able to understand that kind of behavior from people...He states his opinion, does not pull his punches and is true to his beliefs...I have never known him to post an "attack" on a person as others have done to him...He has his opinions and you can agree or not, but you don't need to respond as if he has attacked you...It is just his opinion and everyone is intitled to one...

The people reading this should realize that he has been stalking Fred on the Kingsnake forums long before this transaction with Landon ever started. He has as many online names as he has personalities...Chris Ken, Tyranosaur, Lore, Boapit, Dingbat....and even Anti-Bury (that one should show his obsession with Fred).
He's harrassed Fred on the pituphis, boa and indigo forums before this transaction ever transpired) His issues with Fred are personal and have nothing to do with this transaction.

What took you so long? My problem with Fred is simple. I'm tired of the sneaky way he stabs the "lesser" people of the forums with his sharp, condescending remarks while sucking up to the bigshots with his aimless posts. You think I'm the only one who notices and complains about it. Wrong! I'm just the only one with the guts to do it publicly. Half of the "beloved" Dry forum has trouble reading his suffocating posts. If they deny it, they're lying. Where did I condone his behavior on this transaction. Here are my statements:
Landon brought his story here (and rightfully so).
Fred has promised to make things right. (Obviously a year late is a bit ridiculous). I'm sure Landon will let us know if Fred does what he promised. I believe Fred will do what he said and if he doesn't his reputation will suffer.
But for you to continue to harrass Fred for all this time because he hurt your feelings on some reptile forum is pretty petty.

Perhaps since a lot of time has passed, Fred should let it be known just WHEN he is going to make good and keep that date. It is good to see that he admits he has done wrong BUT it holds nothing UNTIL the situation has been fully rectified.
